Hans and Janzs know alot. You have a doctor. What does he or she want you to do. Have you had sufficient blood work done? Look at the sticky thread entitled "Labs I run". Are you basing your entire conclusion about testosterone deficiency on a single measure of total testosterone? What other labs and values for those labs do you have? Dr. Eric Braverman has offices in NYC and Jersey. He is an expert. He also does allot of work in the nutritional area. I am posting this just to give you an alternative and to make sure that you know that none of us here are trolling for business.

here's what i know

i had an mri done: my pituitary is normal

my thyroid is normal (i'm on 100mcg of synthroid per day)

my prolactin levels are normal.

my cholesterol is a little high but she said this is because of my low T level.

my glucose is normal.

my cortisol is normal.

my estrogen is normal.

my adrenals are normal.

my liver is normal.

my red/ white blood cells are normal.

other than low T, i am a very healthy boy. i eat a good diet (no junk food) and lots of veggies and protein. believe me if it was my diet i would be the first to admit it. i've been looking for an answer to this problem for years.

i trust my doctor to help me out. she is good and i have total confidence in her to help me thru this. right now i am not looking for another doctor. right now she has me on double androgel. i was taking two packs a day now i am taking 4. in two weeks i will have more blood test done to see if the higher dosage is helping. if not she might give me Testem which has a better absorption rate. if that doesn't work, she will suggest injections. she wants my level to be around 650-800.

looking back on my life i can see where low testosterone has been a hidden symptom to many things.

i feel i'm in good hands at the moment and don't have money to go to another doctor. maybe in the future - but right now i have to trust where i am and what i have to work with.

thanks,

m
