Lexapro is good, less sides then Paxil or some of the other anti-anxiety drugs.

I got over a year of anxiety following a severe panic attack in which I passed out after smoking too much hash (gave it up straight away). It was pure hell for the first couple of months. Doc put me on valium, worked ok but it was just another crutch that didnt solve the problem.
You'll have to get some type of prescription meds if its caused by a chemical imbalance but this is unlikely.
But if its from a combination of stess, high blood pressure (ie from gear!), insomnia and dietary deficiency, then try sorting it out naturally. There are a few herbal supps out there that keep stess levels down but its probably best in the long run if you deal with it yourself.
One of the best things you can do is read up on the internet on the subject. Once you get your head around what it is that's half the battle. The thing that brought it on for me was hyper-ventilation. You can find info on a lot of sites about why this triggers the "flight or fight response". Control that and the problem is solved. Its not a mental problem, more of a combination of a number of factors that happen all together. If I were you I would try to keep away from meds if possible.

I would rec staying away from meds if at all possible...just about everything offered is addicting bro. Now if it is something that is severly altering your life then see a DR.
