Ben’s random thoughts

I don’t understand how you can grow to maximum potential without resting as much as possible and lifting as heavy as possible but infrequently.
That's some old school Mike Metzer nonsense. The new research says more is better until you hit a wall. Now add drugs to the mix and hitting that wall takes longer. Look at power lifters, they lift heavy as possible but infrequently and are stronger but not HUGER.

I must hit that wall a lot, because when work/family/life gets in the way, and I miss a week or so in the gym, I almost always come back much stronger.

And I do not think I "overtrain" at all. I rarely hit more than two of the heaviest sets (sometimes a third backoff set with a little less weight when I am in better shape and endurance, thanks @Mac11wildcat ) on each exercise, but I am old, so maybe recovery is much more important in the late 50s than at younger ages.

Interesting. You sure about that? IMG_4654.webp

After 1yr or so here’s what I’ve learned from injecting many different oil brands
if it leaves a knot, red spot, burns, pip, stings, swells or anything similar, throw that mfer in the ocean immediately
I think I’ve tried about 10-12 various brands and 5 types of oil and only 2 didn’t cause any of the issues above
Test C A P TNE and deca
They were
the first thing I tried
Pfizer depo TC 100mg/ml cottonseed oil
And found this beauty a few months ago
ultima pharmaceuticals 100mg/ml TNE mct oil
Only oil I had issue with was grapeseed.

Now all those others did “work” and were effective but imo if any of the negatives I mentioned occur it’s likely not proper if you will lol.

And no I didn’t filter any of them. Should be g2g from the get go imo

Same. I am also in my late 50s and I hit the wall a lot also. For me it usually happens after 6 weeks, working out 6 days a week with each workout 30-45 min for weights and 30 min cardio. I then take a week off and repeat. Without drugs it happens at 4 weeks working out 5 days a week. Admittedly, I have never gone above 500mg a week yet so I am not sure more drugs will push the wall farther out.

This is actually close to how I train on compounds; two top heavy work sets of 8 to 12 reps, then a back off set. Then onto the next!

I start going higher reps with isolations and more sets. Kinda like pump work.

How does it work?!? I admit I was talking out of my ass lol
Me too. Seriously no idea. Algorithm is proprietary. My hunch is AI must detect UGL use to make it past member status haha.

I learned today in the past some WKM members gave back their status to be regular members again, but kept the orange lettering on their handle. That is pretty cool. If you see one of those folks give them a hug. Really cool story. Always wondered why the orange letters but member tag.

okay phew. I was opining on the algorithm inputs. Perhaps it has something to do with mg per week.

That’s pretty cool. Not sure what I’d do without the ego boost of being a well known member though. Life would be pretty much worthless and my words wouldn’t carry any weight.

I'm sure you would be just fine. Maybe you should lobby for HUGE Member.
