Much respect to dr scaly. My question about the protocol is won’t the hcg during the first 20 days offset the clomid and nolva?
Ie, hcg stimulates testosterone, suppressing the pituitary. But, does the dose of clomid and nolva override this negative feedback? If not, why not run hcg first, then the clomid and nolva. Is there any evidence they all work synergistically?
I’ve searched for days for this answer but couldn’t find anything...

The only reason they were given together was for patient compliance. It is not needed or necessary. A week overlap lap is fine. The critical factor is AAS clearance. This has been explained often.

The most important factor is timing.

If you had a compliant patient would you change it to:
    Days1-20, 1000 iu hcg eod
    Days 1-45, nolva 20 bid
    Days 14-30, clomid 50 bid

That’s one week overlap with hcg and clomid. Nolva is ran throughout to prevent gyno...
