feeling bloated after drinking whey protein

    I always experience bloating after drink whey protein. casein protein on the other hand doesn't make me feel like that. so I either buy micellar casein powder or a blend of whey and casein.

    anyone else have this problem with whey protein considering you aren't lactose intolerant ?

    Not sure how much it would help if whey is the only thing that bloats you but you could try taking some digestive enzymes.

    Are you using a high quality brand?

    What type of whey? I’d try hydrolyzed and see if it helps.

    either isolate or concentrate. Is hydrolysed whey a lot more expensive ?

    Definitely not the cheapest, but if you’re going to have no issues with protein that’d be the one. Or use a different source; beef, egg, etc.

    Hydrolysed should fix the problem

    If the shit says consentrate I can't even touch it

    Then there's eggwhites

    I actually saw an egg protein powder in Hannaford this week that had a halfway decent label and a reasonable price. There are def alternatives. Don’t feel like a balloon and shit your brains out just for whey.

    I had the same problem, I switched to grass fed beef protein and it digests so much better for me. I get the chocolate peanut butter cup from truenutrition. I like It better then the whey one thankfully.. It wasn't until i switched over that i realized how much it was bothering me.

    I tried beef protein one time . it wasn't bad but it's made from collagen which ain't a complete protein source.

    They are generally say 70%beef 30%caologen and I have read studies showing otherwise but I'm not trying to debate. Was just offering a suggestion.

    Try dymatize iso 100 or nutra bio isolate.

    Make sure isolate is the only protein ingredient. No concentrate etc.

    Sucralose can upset the GI tract in some folks...

    Check the sweetener ingredient in the products that give you trouble...

    Leave the whey alone. True nutrition has vegan proteins I can drink all day... whey makes me fart swamp gas all day... worse than eggs

    Mixing with milk? I have a slight allergy to milk i developed over time. Inflames my gut. Switched to water only with my whey and no issues...

    This is the main reason I dropped all whey products. I switched to egg protein and I feel hundred times better. No bloaty gut either.
