A link to Politicos list of views of Joe Biden:
Where Joe Biden stands on the biggest 2020 issues
If you really want to debate all the issues just pick one and go for it. You do not need
@Millard Baker or anyone else to spoon feed you. His views are public, not sure if you heard but he recently kicked the shit out of Donald Trump in a general election.
Calm, critical, logical thinking is very hard and time consuming, that is why judging is so much more common.
Well said my man. Well said. Anyone wondering "Why did you vote for Biden" could just read that page. I agree with literally everything on there. I am very pro-2A and pro-gun, but I do think expanded background checks and more stringent restrictions on people with mental health issues buying guns should be put in place. I am strongly opposed to assault weapon bans, high-cap mag bans, online gun/ammo sale bans--all those things are going WAY to far and definitely starting to infringe on my right to defend myself and my family.
I may be going out on a limb here, but I imagine that
@Millard and I have fairly similar reasons for voting Biden. I literally already answered that question in a previous post on this thread. It really doesn't make anyone look good for them to keep hammering away at "
Why did you vote for Biden? Why did you vote for Biden? Why? Why? Why? Why?!?!?!??! Why did you vote for Biden? Give me one reason, man. On you aren't responding? Obviously you have no reason! Trump wins again, just like he won the election!" Give us a break, please. We all voted for Biden because we
agree with the vast majority of his policies and we vehemently disagree with the policies of Trump and the GOP.
Trickle down economics doesn't work. Cutting environmental protections hurts the health and well-being of the People and damages the ecosystem (yes that is a massive wiki article, skim through it if you have time, here is a
more succinct article). Embracing nationalist and isolationist values, xenophobia, homophobia, and glorifying his sexual abuse and assault of women is not good for us, it loses us allies and hurts our position in the global stage--No I don't think we should be playing world police, but to pull out of trade acts, the Paris climate accord, and abandon allies like the Kurds is just fucking stupid.
A lot of people say Trump "took on China." Well, there are a few reasons why that was both wrong and stupid and did not really help us. He has
weakened our position on the global stage and actually created big opportunity
for China. He has done this all while touting that his trade war is making China hurt, they are struggling and we have them beneath our thumb. It is bullshit. Even Chinese strategists themselves has said this
has been the best time for China since the cold war. Xi himself has even said as
much in many recent speeches. There is no question about it, China is playing chess and the US is playing something closer to Go Fish. Trump talks alot, you really can't listen to what he says, because he just vomits nonsense most of the time. That's part of the reason why we are so fucked right now--he has been spouting all this fucking bullshit for the last 4-6 years and for whatever reason his supporters just suck it up like it is the word of their God. They don't read political analysts, they don't read the opinions of experienced foreign policy experts. Hell, most people don't even
know how tariffs work!!
So yes, I am really looking forward to having Biden in charge. He has
actual political experience and I think he will actually DO HIS JOB whilst in office, rather than just watching the news, tweeting, having meaningless rallies to pump up his base and generally being obsessed with himself the whole time. People complain about Biden's gaffs (and yeah, some of them are quite bad), but Trump has had
just as many and some of them were even worse. I think Biden is more mentally stable than Trump, I think he is a better human being than Trump, I think he cares more about the country than Trump does (who has given us evidence that he really is only in it for himself and his rich family/friends). I also don't think Biden will squander my hard-earned tax dollars on fucking luxury golf trips. I don't think Biden will engage in ultra-shady and potentially outright illegal financial activity (like the Trump campaign/family
here,
here, and
here) and I don't think he will use
shell companies to hide his campaign spending.
And then there is this:
As I said previously, Russia and China have really enjoyed the Trump presidency. They have actively worked through disinformation campaigns and now directly funding right-wing domestic terrorist cells in the US. Trump has destabilized the US, brought us closer than we've ever been before to a Civil War since 1861, and and created an international power vacuum which they intend to take advantage of to increase their power on the global stage.
Biden may be old (a lot older than I would like). He may not have been my first pick. I may not like his VP pick. However, overall I think he will be
better for the country and much better for The People of the United States of America than Trump could ever dream of being. That is why I voted for Biden and most likely everyone else in this thread who said they did. Yes, there is a lot of "voting against Trump" going on rather than specifically for Biden, but regardless, Biden will do a good job. Personally I would've rather seen Yang or Tulsi. Younger people with energy and fresh ideas. I think Yang might have been one of the best presidents ever. He is just a genius, full of ideas and passion. I really hope he runs again someday.
