Q: “I’m age 61 and very active, still with mid-normal testosterone but I don’t feel the same. My blood lipids aren’t good, and my blood pressure is borderline. However I care more about performing well and feeling good than about hanging around the longest time possible in a sorry state. I like the 2-week steroid cycles but you’ve written that a minimum dosage level for these cycles is 1000 mg/week! I question whether I can handle that and doubt that I need that much. I’ve dabbled with steroids a little already and have some Masteron. Can I do 2-week cycles at a reduced dosage with Masteron?”
A: The reason I’ve written that is that for most people, the purpose is maximum results or nearly so, and to do this the two-week cycles really do require that high of a dosage.
However, if happy with more modest results, certainly less can be used.
You’d still have the advantages of quick and easy recovery between cycles, and being able to do cycles frequently. Easy recovery could be an especially valuable feature for you, as recovery from steroid cycles can get slower with age, even when natural testosterone has been good.
Because of your blood pressure and blood lipid concerns, as well as your goal of feeling and performing better rather than maximizing strength and size, a modest dose level does make sense for you.
I’d suggest a cycle using 500 mg Masteron on Day 1, 200 mg on Day 4, another 200 mg on Day 8, and that’s it with regard to steroid injections. HCG would be used at, for example, 500 IU on Day 1 and Day 4.
The purpose for the HCG is to maintain testosterone production so that estrogen levels don’t drop below normal. Post cycle therapy (PCT) would begin on Day 15.
I would allow 4 “off” weeks before beginning the next cycle.
Definitely monitor blood pressure; if you do find a problem, then discontinue.
Best of outcomes!

Bill Roberts is an internationally-recognized expert on anabolic steroids and performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs). He received a bachelor degree in Microbiology and Cell Science and completed the educational and research requirements for a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at a major American university.
Bill entered the nutritional supplement industry prior to completing his doctoral thesis but his education was invaluable so far as being able to design/improve nutritional supplement compounds, since it was in the field of designing drug molecules and secondarily some work in transdermal delivery.
His education was not specifically "geared" toward anabolic steroids other than expertise with pharmacological principles having broad applications. This has allowed Bill to provide unique insight into the field of anabolic pharmacology with knowledge of points which he would not have known otherwise.

Hey Bill!
You say in your article on Masteron that it should be dosed preferably every day in propionate form, but is this dosing scheme just as legitimate?
