Are Legal Prohormones Effective Additions to Pharmaceutical Steroid Cycles?

Q: “Are any of the prohormone products good additions to a steroid cycle?” A: There’s no real reason to add any of them to a properly designed cycle using the standard pharmaceutical anabolic steroids, by which I mean the compounds developed and brought to market by pharmaceutical companies. None of them have any positive qualities […]

What Type of Steroid Cycles Did Bodybuilders Use During Arnold Schwarzenegger's Time?

Q: “I’m a middle-aged lifter seriously considering starting cycling. With the last 10 years straight being consistent and I think good quality training, and many years before that being off-and-on, more of the same isn’t likely to add much more for me. I’m a lot more interested in what the guys were doing in the […]

Should Testosterone Always Be Used as the Base of a Steroid Cycle?

Q: “A lot of advice says testosterone must be used every cycle. But definitely some get great results without it. Does it really need to be used for best results? Why isn’t it like with most drugs, for example the NSAIDs, where any of them does the job and combining two does nothing different than […]

Post Cycle Therapy (PCT) for Female Steroid Users?

June 18, 2013 by Michael Scally, M.D. Leave a Comment

Ask Dr. MIchael Scally – Q: What would post cycle therapy (PCT) be like for female steroid users and for what reasons? A: In the case of pre-menopausal females, tapering the anabolic steroids would be the best treatment. Steroid administration, like males, causes the HPGA to shutdown. However, stopping the AAS will produce menopausal like symptoms, therefore tapering until menses returns is best.

American Public Believes Teenagers Have Bigger Problems Than Steroids – And They’re Right

Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE), anti-steroid advocacy and steroid use by adolescents

The American public believes that teenagers are facing much more serious problems in high schools today than the threat of anabolic steroids according to a study published by the Center for Social Development and Education (CSDE) at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Americans were incredibly accurate in their assessment. However, CSDE researchers refused to accept this. Instead, they became advocates guilty of pandering to the anti-steroid organizations that funded their research.

Pain and Gain Movie Makes Bodybuilders and Steroid Users Look Bad

April 29, 2013 by Millard Leave a Comment

Pain & Gain movie's negative portrayal of bodybuilders and steroid users

To say the movie reinforces negative bodybuilding stereotypes is an understatement. “Pain & Gain“ is bad for bodybuilders. And it is even worse for steroid users. Bodybuilders aren’t just portrayed as dumb, their stupidity seemingly has no limits. Steroid users aren’t just portrayed as prone to “roid rage”, the extent of their violence is utterly sadistic.

Masteron as an Addition to Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

I am 42-years old and currently on 100-milligrams of testosterone enanthate per week as part of a testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) prescribed by my doctor. I plan on remaining on TRT indefinitely. But I’d like to have a little boost. I am currently 220-lbs but my goal is to return my physique to my younger days when I was a lean 245-lbs. Would adding Masteron help?

Masteron vs Equipoise – Which is Better to Gain Muscle?

March 17, 2013 by Bill Roberts Leave a Comment

Equipoise (boldenone undecylenate)

Q: Is Masteron or Equipoise the better steroid to gain muscle? A: The answer depends on how it’s being looked at. Effectiveness milligram per milligram: One way is, having the rest of a stack already, and wanting to add X mg of boldenone, or the same mg of Masteron. To some extent it would depend […]

Why Harm Reduction is a Nightmare for Anti-Doping Crusaders

February 9, 2013 by Millard Leave a Comment

Harm reduction is the enemy of anti-steroid crusaders

The biggest problem with the war on steroids and the war on doping is that it is a moral crusade masquerading as an initiative for protecting the health of athletes. Anti-doping warriors are primarily concerned with enforcing a moral code. The moral code involves the prohibition of drugs that enhance performance. It is not a code based on health and harm reduction.

Cheat This, Not That: Hypocrisy, Ethics and Performance Enhancement

Hypocrisy, Ethics and Performance Enhancement

Steroid users are “cheaters” who use drugs to defy the limitations that nature has imposed. Breast enhancement via implants, sexual enhancement via Viagra, cognitive enhancement via Adderall are all about the American Dream of bigger boobs, better boners and brighter brains; bigger, better bodies assisted by steroids, however, are simply not on the American agenda.
