Jay Cutler Discusses Steroids in Deleted Scene from Bigger Stronger Faster

IFBB pro bodybuilder Jay Cutler discusses anabolic steroids and bodybuilding

IFBB pro bodybuilder and two-time Mr. Olympia Jay Cutler talks about anabolic steroid use in the sport of bodybuilding and the necessity of steroids to be the best in bodybuilding in a deleted scene from the highly acclaimed steroid documentary “Bigger Stronger Faster.”

… [E]veryone is looking for that edge. You know there are steroids involved in the sport – in bodybuilding – obviously. And that’s the problem with the sport and why it has to get accepted by a lot of society. They look at bodybuilding and they say, ‘oh steroids.’ But they don’t actually understand what goes into the sport. You do what you do to be the best at what you do. You do what you do to win. If you want to call that cheating, fine. But I have the edge. And that’s why I’m the best.

Certainly, there will be debate as to whether this is a tacit admission of steroid use. And certainly, people are going to ask why Muscletech did not fire Jay Cutler for talking about steroids when fitness model and former Muscletech spokesperson Christian Boeving was fired for talking about steroid use.

Christian Boeving told me there is a standard clause that prohibits discussion of anabolic steroids in Muscletech contracts.

Do I think Muscletech will fire Jay Cutler? Of course, not! Muscletech’s hypocrisy regarding steroids has been well documented in the pages of the New York Times. And I’m certain Cutler would sue for breach of contract if they did. Perhaps, Christian Boeving should consider the same.

Of course! All the top level IFBB athletes use. Its a fact. Thats why there is such a thing as natural bodybuilding contests. I've never seen a natural bodybuilder even come close to a top pro. Like Jay says if you want to win you have to do it...because everyone else is!

The question wasn't whether or not he uses steroids. The question is whether his comments regarding steroid use were essentially the same as Christian Boeving's admission of use (who was fired by Muscletech because of it).

''OH STEROIDS'' how many times have we all heard that? what he says is so true everyone that is not educated on that likes to assume that its as easy is taken a shot and your huge over night. It would really be nice if people knew what it really takes to become big.

Well, there's a similar myth with women who are starting to workout and are afraid they'll bulk up overnight and look like men the next week.

But you just cannot be like Jay Cutler on hard work and genetics alone. Honestly, you HAVE TO juice in order to have arms like people's legs! I don't doubt the efforts, the perfect nutrition and the awesome training and discipline these athletes put themselves through, I just hate to see people build like him saying bullshit like "I got this big because I took this brand of creatine (or whatever supplements)" in full pages ads in magazines, therefore giving false hope that anybody can look like this without touching gears. I mean, what wrong with saying "you know what, I worked hard for what I have but juicing helped me broke my barriers".

However, the mass media perpetuate the myth that taking 'roids will make you huge overnight and continue to make people believe that you don't really have to do anything to get to the level you are.

If Jay Cutler was juicing and sitting on his ass all day watching TV, he would still look good because of his pure mesomorph body. That would be his only saving grace but forget about having freaking huge muscles.

It's hard to believe, but people really do believe this. I've spoken to people who are convince they too could hit HRs like Barry Bonds if it weren't for their good ethics and morality

Too me what is even worst is those in the sports journalist realm that truly believe this crap as well.
Society is so ignorant when it comes to "Performance Enhancing compounds" that it is laughable.

I remember once their was a player for the New Orleans Saints that was suspended for 4 games for testing positive for Albuterol. The media never said it was Albuterol. They just said "Performance Enhancing Drugs" as if they are all one and the same.

What's even worse is when the call ALL performance-enhancing drugs "steroids." It doesn't matter whether it's clenbuterol or growth hormone or HCG - I've even seen them call GHB an anabolic steroid.
