I was departing my house for the gym, and then to work, when I paused because Kip was bouncing at my leg. Kip is a Maltese-Chihuahua mix that I bought from a private owner a few weeks prior. He was only a few months old, and I had already fallen in love with him. I felt terrible leaving him, so I asked my ex-girlfriend to stay at my house with him while I was at work.
My relationship with my ex-girlfriend was – “complicated” – to use Facebook’s terminology. I cared about her deeply, and I wanted nothing but the best for her, but we worked better unfettered from the conventions of a relationship. At times we acknowledged that we were not in a relationship and respected each other’s boundaries, and at other times, we seemed committed and acted more like we were in a relationship. Fortuitously, she liked being at my house and she loved Kip – so it all worked out.
I bent down to pet Kip and said goodbye. I entered my 2000 Alero, which, for an eleven-year-old vehicle, adequately served its purpose. I desperately wanted a new vehicle, and if I procured a few more clients, it would start to become conceivable.
I went to the gym to work out and tan, then headed to work. While cresting the entrance to the Emergency Room where I worked, I ran into my friend Sam, who stopped me in an anteroom with two automatic sliding doors on either side. Sam and I ran in similar circles. We both used to work as bouncers at neighboring bars in the downtown college purlieu. Sam was a great guy: he had been a client of mine, we had drank together, we did drugs together; but we had always just been casual friends. We never had a close relationship where we would definitively make plans together. We would simply run into each other because we ran in similar social circles. Sam was married and had disappeared from the social scene for the past five years, since about 2005. He quit drinking and using drugs, and he went to school to become a radiology tech in the same hospital at which I was now working. He really cleaned himself up and I was proud of him. Since getting married and quitting the social scene, he had let himself go, physically. Unfortunately, Sam and his wife were in the process of separating, and his wife had moved out of the house. Sam had recently indicated that he wanted to talk to me privately, I assumed because he was starting to get back into shape, and wanted to get back on the juice wagon.
Sam stopped me in the anteroom, and looked both ways. This was usually how it happened. I was about to make a sale. The room was all glass, but, looking both ways, no one was around and no one could hear us. “I want to get back on something, what should I take?” he asked. He was asking me what steroid combination I thought he should use.
“The more you understand anabolic steroids and their effects, the more you understand that there is no simple answer to that question. Defining what an individual should take depends on a myriad of factors including, but not limited to: current state of health, genetics, fitness goals, aesthetic goals, and tolerance for side effects. It takes a while to discover an individual’s ideal “stack”, or compliment of steroids stacked together to create synergistic effects. First, I would get an idea of all the aforementioned factors, and recommend a “stack”. Then, as effects manifested, I would make adjustments based on each individual’s desired results,” I replied.
“I have always used tren, and loved it,” he stated, making the decision easier.
“Trenbolone acetate is five to eight times more potent than testosterone and is, bar none, the best lean muscle building anabolic steroid. Because of that, side effects from trenbolone are more prominent and can be overbearing. Additionally, trenbolone should always be taken with testosterone to assuage some of the side effects,” I informed.
“How much tren should I take?”, Sam asked.
“For me, taking more than three hundred milligrams a week yields consequential side effects. I get night sweats and insomnia.”
“What test should I take?”
“I take Andropen.”
“What is Andropen?”
“It is similar to Sustanon, but with an extra blended testosterone, making it a five-testosterone blend. I have ten milliliter vials and twenty-five milliliter vials of both tren and test.”
“I will take a ten-milliliter bottle of Andropen and a ten-milliliter bottle of tren ace, for now. How much?” Sam queried. I learned over time not to answer this question. My cost on these products was much cheaper than anyone thought possible, so I was flexible with price. I did not want to present too high of a price, and lose the sale if the client could get the product cheaper elsewhere. Furthermore, I did not want to present too low of a price if the client was willing to pay more. That tact I had developed over time was to ask the client what price they usually bought the product for, and when they answered, I would pretend to think about it, and reluctantly tell them I could sell for that price. It didn’t matter what price the client indicated they had bought the product for in the past, because I would make a steep return no matter what. This was the best method to close a sale every time, and to maximize my profit.
“What have you paid for those in the past?”, I asked.
“Dom used to charge me eighty for ten milliliter bottles.” Dom was the guy who used to be my partner, but had robbed me recently.
“…I can do that.”
“Okay, so one-sixty? I have the money whenever. When can you get that for me?” It worked every time. My profit margin on that sale was over two-hundred percent. I always tried to get clients their products as soon as possible, before they spent their money on something else. Additionally, rapid product turnover is a key factor in overall revenue.
“I can have it for you tonight after work if you want, or, if you are working tomorrow, I can bring it with me tomorrow.”
“Yeah, just bring it tomorrow, thanks,” he shook my hand and started to walk away, but paused and stated, “Do you know Dr. Laughlin?”
