Enemas for Bodybuilders
Dear Dave,
I have heard about bodybuilders taking enemas before contest to get rid of extra water. How and when do you use this idea? How much excess water do you get rid of through your ass? How long before the contest?
Another question – when do you completely cut out your water intake before a show if the show is on a Saturday? Do you think a sauna is a good idea to get rid of extra water? What about diuretics – what kind and how many before a Saturday show?
Enemas are used to help dehydrated bodybuilders move their bowels the morning of the contest (so they dont have a belly full of waste stuck in their intestines). Mild diuretics like Dyazide (1/2 of a 25mg pill) taken the night before and the morning of the contest should dry you out just fine. Cut your water out the night before and stick to “sipping” the day of the show.
Removing Estrogen from Synovex
Dear Dave,
Apparently, Finajet is no longer commercially available. I found a place that i can find Synovex. One major problem is the estrogen it contains in addition to the trenbolone acetate. Do you know of an effective technique for removing the estrogen?
I get this question innumerable times. Don’t waste your time. It’s like trying to extract the morphine from poppy seeds on a bagel!
Detoxifying Your Liver and Kidneys
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. And by the way, I really enjoyed your profile in Flex. Alright, now to the questions. Is there anything you can take to detoxify and “clean” your liver and kidneys after a heavy steroid cycle? Also, how do you know that the HCG and the Clomid are working to get your endogenous Testosterone back up?
Try Milk Thistle and Primrose Oil for liver detoxification AND Drink plenty of fresh spring water to flush the kidneys.
You know the hCG and Clomid is working when you FEEL your sex drive increasing and when you FEEL you testicles increase in size (which usually indicates an increase in the production of sperm). And thanks for the kudos on my FLEX profile!
Massive Gains with Massive Dosages
It seems that out of all the people on the internet you know your stuff better than anyone. I’ve cycled AS three times and I am unsatisfied with my gains. Last cycle I stacked Reforvit-B (liquid D-bol) with 500mg of Sust for 8 weeks (5 weeks on the dbol) and gained 15 lbs. I’d really like to make serious gains. For my next cycle I am planning on stacking Anapolon (oxymethelone) at 100mg/day for 4 weeks
with 1 gram of test/week for 8 weeks. I’m also planning on using insulin for all 8 weeks and possibly IGF-1. I was curious to see if you could maybe tell me what Icould take in conjunction with these to get the most out of my cycle and to make life a little easier on my internal organs. I’m looking for a huge gain on this, somewhere in the area of 30-35 lbs. Is this realistic or is it a pipe dream? Thanks.
If you do 4 cycles per year and you gain 10-15 lbs per cycle. That is 40-60lbs of muscle gained per year – that’s an awful lot of muscle (even if you gained half of that because you only do two cycles per year). If you take that 20-30lbs gained per year and do it for 5 years that would mean in 5 years you will have increased your weight by 100lbs (that’s awesome!). Now you can see that bodybuilding is about consistency (not gaining everything at once – that’s unrealistic). I gained 20-30lbs per year from 1991-1996 taking my body weight from 200lbs to 300lbs. It was consistency in my lifting, eating and sleeping that did it and not some miraculous 70lb gain in weight in one 3 month cycle.
Nubain
I am 27 years old and a competitve bodybuilder. When I diet, I find it extremely difficult to sleep at night. I was considering the use of Nubain to help me get some rest at night. What’s your advice?
Forget NUBAIN! First off, it’s an analgesic not a sleep inducer. Secondly, you WILL get addicted (physically and mentally) and you will never want to stop! Stick to the new GHB precursor compounds like Regenerize or Serenity (they are perfect for inducing a relaxing and high quality of sleep).
High Protein / High Fat and Thyroid
I am a female body builder. I am very confused and hope you can help me. I was reading an article on the thyroid gland. In the article, it stated; “avoid fats in your diet, they affect your insulin secretion and slow down your metabolism.” This is where I am confused, You advocate the fat and protein diet to body builders and I have used it in the past with much success and will continue to do so. However, the article did contradict what you believe in. That is, using the fat for energy instead of the Carbs. Now also lets take into consideration that I was also taking tricana and cytomel during my dieting phase. Did taking these substances counteract the decrease in my metabolism and the effect on my insulin level in my body? My thyroid is fine. I have no problem with my weight during my off season. Thank you so much for your time.
The high protein/moderate fat diet will decrease insulin secretion, increase GH production, suppress your appetite, reduce estrogen’s fat preservation mechanism (since estrogen senses adequate fat intake) and, in the absence of carbohydrates– will decrease you active T3 levels (however, the “cheat meal” that I advocate you eat once per week will effectively neutralize the thyroid suppression because large quantities of carbs are being introduced at one time thus spiking your insulin levels and returning your T3 levels to normal.
