As the thread title says isopropyl alcohol can it be used in place of benzyl alcohol? say 10% of the final solution?

I know about the risks of blindness but if you was injecting 1ml a day of testosterone prop that would only be like 0.1ml of iso alcohol is it really dangerous at that amount? would it help sterilize and keep the solution sterilized?

I was thinking of using just 2% of benzyl benzoate as i hear testosterone prop and deca hold just fine without the bb.

Ba is readily available why risk it at all? These recipes have been used for years. I wouldn't cut corners especially if you are injecting it into your body.

Can it be substituted I don't have that answer
 
iso-propyl alcohol at that concentration is prob not going to kill you but i'll prob be able to hear you scream after you pin. It's also not going to kill off all the bacteria in your sample, imo. Methyl (wood alc) is the one that can blind you and is known to do that with moonshiners who don't know what they are doing. Ethyl you drink (and i've heard people use in suspensions). Benzyl does not disinfect, it just stop bacteria from reproducing. Do yourself a favor and don't try and re-invent the wheel. All alcohols are poisons to an extent, if you don't know exactly how a substance is going to be processed in your body don't take a chance. Also, don't think in terms of quantity, 0.1 mL's of alot of things is enough to kill you 10x over.

Well damn guys i checked this thread this morning and was no replies so i rang poison control and asked what amount of iso injected would be needed to cause harm and the guy said 0.5ml could cause side effects and anything around 1ml or over could be a emergency room visit.

So i went on and brewed a lot of testosterone propionate and put 0.1ml of methylated spirits in each vial.

Ingredients

Virgin Castor Oil 2.5%
Methyl Salicylate 0.5%
Diethyl Phthalate 2.0%
Industrial Methylated Spirit 95%

The testosterone gone into the oil no problem and did not crash when it cooled down but when i injected 0.1ml of iso in each vial they clouded up and i think crashed? when i heat them back up on the stove they clear up again. Anyone have any idea why iso should cause a solution to crash?

Will not add iso to any of my other batches but any idea why this is crashing once it cools to room temperature? really dont think 0.1ml of iso will do much harm injecting eod as according to the poison control number it takes atleast 0.5 to cause problems.

i've injected a suspension that i was told had methylated spirits in it and never felt any side effects it did hurt a lot though.
 
It's prob not crashing, but it might me. I'll explain. You prob don't have your hands on pure, %100 iso-propyl alc. The highest conc. I've seen over-the-counter is %91. Guess what the other %9 is? Water. Water and oil is not miscible and clouds. When you heated it, it forced them apart quickly, appearing to fix it. It doesn't happen often, but i've seen water force the solubility in a neg. direction when it was previously saturated. Again, don't use any of that shit in your body. Who knows maybe you'll discover something great like the Curie's, prob not, and they died from their experiments.

Doesn't sound like you plan on listening anway, I'm done. Inject away there are allot of great chems that kill bacteria try them all. BTW the reason a spirit is "methylated", more commonly denatured (ethanol), is to make it poisonous and unusable for human consumption. But I'm sure injecting changes everything.
 
Atodd is 100% correct. Industrial spirits? Do you have any idea of what industrial means? Instead of 99.9% purity - you have a whopping 5% of impurities that may be toxic to you. And usually industrial grade stuff is brewed where all the nasty shit is as well.

Ever see the infections from industrial grade silicon injected into buttocks for ghetto plastic surgery?

Don't fucking give advice out on this board. Secondly, this should be removed before some idiot proof reads it and mixes hormones and poisonous spirits as a sterilizing agent.

The amount of stupid in this thread when you could've had lab grade bb and BA for 20$ Is blowing my mind.
 
Dont think people are really listening to me firstly i made it clear that i brewed this up before i was given the advice in this thread to not do so. I dont remember giving any advice and no this thread should not be removed because as i said i did not say for others to go stick methylated spirits in your solutions. I said i had done it before the replies where posted in this thread to not include it. That doesn't really sound like im advising people to do it now does it?

My problem is that i have 1.4 litre of testosterone prop that had 1ml of methylated spirits in each vial im not just going to throw 1.4 litres down the drain.

And Xodusforever again i think you failed to read that i posted the other 5% of ingredients listed on the iso alcohol bottle?

Hard to answer lol well i cruise and blast so do go through a load of testosterone and im sure test prop keeps fine for 4 years :) got the raws cheap so thought why not.

Also brewed half a litre of deca and 0.8 litre of dbol suspension for future use :) without the methylated spirits.

But no i wouldn't sell gear to anyone with methylated spirits in it lol a couple of mates want dbol and some deca but not the test prop.
 
FYI, i've used methyl salicylate in the lab for flavors before. Interesting point, it's the main component in wintergreen and birch beer flavors (birchbeer in menthol free), this is why i can't drink birchbeer. It tastes like wintergreen soda, try it. Anyway, not sure at what level it's toxic, but wouldn't inject it. Diethyl Phthalate is nasty stuff. It's main purpose is as a plastisizer and as a solvent for organics in fragareces. It's also known to cause damage to the CNS and sex organs. I don't care how cheap, or how much i have, i would not use or recommend it.
