Anyone eat lamb?

I love lamb. The only problem I have is the mechanical slaughtering its in humane and the reason for disease. I try my best to get organic raised as it is done on a smaller scale.
But at the end of the day meat is meat and I gotta eat.

I lost my stomach for fishing the day I say my first ling.. When they are still alive and swimming that is they move with grace and beauty indeed. The eyes have a lot of life to them in a humanized kinda way too. Considering they are not mammals like the "sea-dogs" the dolphin.. (I'm starting to think they refer to US as "man-dogs"...!:() But the ling in live motion is a shame to kill if you can see him up close. This idiot did not... Or whatever. Who knows perhaps he has more on the stick than I..?!!? Probably me in another life. The fish or the guy? Right... At least we know the young RED in the rear is wearing underwear... This is a RedNeck Riviera Classic... 20 BUCKS says he holding that can as a SPITOON...:eek::eek: I'm not even gonna comment on Grand Fishing Wizard there/clearly the curtain is pulled back pretty far now... 20 more BUCKs says HE is NOT... LOL ... And WHY E.T. with any brains just drives right on by... LOL OR/ Perhaps he just has a sense of humor too.. Fuck... me...

That's fucked up.. I've never seen animals slaughtered or anything but I'm somewhat of a fisherman, never had a problem killing big fish (to eat of course)..

Well, I'll never be able to eat lamb again, at least in good conscience.. I haven't had it in over five years though..

Damn you for this thread. Its a good one...

**If You ONLY knew when you worked so hard to program yourself to be so smart HOW STUPID THIS WAS....! If we all did. IF WE DID NOT...

I was just thinking just tonight how I figured our "Evolution in a nutshell". Lately, I've been starring into the eyes of so many animals and noticing how their consciousnesses are so damn evolved. What was it? There are two species said to be more evolved than us...? The Dolphins and what I don't really know. BUT THE TRUTH IS THAT I think all animals may have hit the turbo button past us. In fact, WE DID IT TOO THEM by CASH_BREEDING THE SHIT OUT OF THEM...! It would appear to folly of man is HIS LONG LIFE SPAN. As I speculate the key to conscious evolution is "life-terms"... So it turns out the shorter life wins the game...

But lately I have I've noted that cats, dogs, hamsters, (always noticed) lizzards.. I've seen cows on trucks heading for slaughter that held more weight than many folks I've met. And words unspoken.. I recall a white mouse I once fed to my brother's snake/ that little bastard was so scared and I STILL FEEL SHITTY.. Never saw a rat that knew he was gonna get it before that one... Although there was the mouse that lived with our snake for about 6 months/When we were real little. Don't remember if the snake ate him ever or not. What a fuking tale. I swear they were friends. What a cruel fucking scenario and WORTHY OF A MOVIE FER SURE... But all animals seem to be consciously ALIVE and all PEOPLE JUST SEEM DEAD...

So evolution just may be THIS...: Yur species gets a cut at it. You take your swing and hit OR sent back to dugout.. I think we are going to dugout the ugly way too.. 105MPH, Randy Johnson, Chopper-to-dirt-back-to-NUTZ, and NO CUP TO BE SEEN..:( Its almost like I can see the animals just looking at me like, "OK, you had your turn. You have just about fucked the planet now. So can you just go ahead and kill yerselves off now and fucking DIE ALREADY...! Give us our shot.."

**And I think we probably ALL strike our sooner or later, so the winner must be defined as WHO LAST THE FURTHEST AND THE LONGEST with a CO-FACTOR of "Genetic Development" cypered in...

Me wonderz indeed...

I don't eat lamb but I know many do.

A friend sent me this picture the other day. These lambs are marked for slaughter and have been separated from their mothers. They are clearly scared and you can see one of them is desperately trying to get back to its mother.

I grew up around this stuff and have no idea how many animals I've seen slaughtered. It never bothered me when I was younger. In fact, I never really gave it much thought. That's just how it was back then. But now that I've gotten older and been away from it for many years, I no longer have the stomach for it.

I don't really know what my point is, or if I even have one. But that picture bothers me. And one of the reasons it bothers me is knowing that most of the people who buy the meat from these lambs will have no knowledge of this picture. Is there anyone else from a similar background who now feels the same? Do you think people have an obligation to learn where their meat comes from, and how it was obtained?

Imagine if there was an animal that was smarter than humans. They mass breed humans for food and keep us locked in cages and fatten us up like chickens. Then the children are ripped from their mothers, and put through a processing plant where there limbs get ripped off and their torsos stripped of all flesh. The corpses are then discarded and the meat is packaged and sent to grocery stores.

This is what its like from the little lambs perspective, very sad.. yummy for us though

Then that would be evolution and the natural cycle of life, life feeds on life

If the lamb had a brain like us, that would be exactly how it would be.. but it doesn't

We can all eat plants, grass, flowers and bugs and be gay
and frolic around with tutus on like pansies, or we can be men
and butcher cute animals and eat them raw, like they should be eaten..
