Career ideas

If I could join I'd have gone in at 18. Permanent DQ for my fucking auto immune. I'd join the military ASAP if you can't find a career you're dead set on. It'll give you time to nature, grow, learn about the world.. I come from a long line of militant men, it was fun being a dependent too I guess. The moving sucks though

18 is your best shot
While your still dumb enough to think your bullet proof
And your not set in your ways yet

Ive never heard of anything close to that mark in that field
Quarter a million a year huh?

How Much Does an Electrical Lineman Make a Year?

Straight from the IRS
That's California money. Staring out u can make 150k with a decent amount of overtime. When u hit that 250k mark u are working your life away no doubt. lineman in Cali top out around 55$ hr right now. Best blue collar job to have hands down.

Other than that elevator mechanics make good money but I hear benefits aren't as great.

You won't regret the military.

People who tell you how much it sucks are either salty shit bag 11bravos who didn't do shit with their career, or skinny beta boy faggot pogs who played video games for 3 years.

Enlist. Go to college. Lift a lot and bang a shit load of sloots. Get married after a time... Retire... Your education is paid for.. Your family's education is paid for... And their health care.. And their dental

You'll know how to fight
Youll know how to survive
If you manage your time and pursue your options you can become diverse, decisive, dangerous as an enemy, and useful as an ally.

Don't listen to salty shit bags who got a 50 on their asvab and never did anything.

Especially don't listen to chit head civilians who were "too smart" for the military. Good luck with your student loans & "skills".

And for the love of God... Especially do not join the Marines
Unless you like crayons:p

& BTW someone I know was in the army.. And scared of heights. And he had over 50 jumps

I had thought about joining the military a lil while back but idk that's a maaaaajor decision and I'm already married so it would be tough but everything has its pros and cons

Yeah and that all looks good on paper.

However, there is always that off chance that you get shot in the face, or lose your legs, lr develop crippling ptsd which stops you from living a normal life.

Unless you are an infantryman, cav scout, or maybe line medic, your chances of dying in a car accident are greater than your chances of dying in combat.

I'm fact you're probably more likely to be hit by a fucking lightning bolt.

The percentage of servicemen who see real combat is exceedingly low.

Those who develop ptsd, even less. The reason ptsd has become so prevalent in the media is because they want to demonize veterans as part of the mass emasculation of America.

There's a chance of that. But there's always a chance of getting hurt in any job.
I started out a skinny kid who was constantly in trouble with the law. Im from Cali and had barely ever travelled. I went all around the country, and to Germany, Italy, Austria, Amsterdam, Czech, Korea, and some other places. Hooked up with exotic women. Drank exotic dranks. Ate exotic food. Lifted exotic weights.
And in the end I get free college for me, free college for my son, healthcare for both of us, and I get paid a monthly retirement more than some people make working.

Its not a small decision to serve your country. There's a reason only 1% of people do it, but there are benefits. I know a lot of people who did 4 years for the free college and picked jobs that translate well. One of my friends was an air traffic controller. Did his 6 years, got free college, and got out making 80k off the bat.
