Donated blood today...

What was your iron at? I've been off since February and just donated in June and my iron was 18.4!!

Faaaack. i don't remember what she said.
14 possibly? i asked if it was a good number and she said "oh, yes".

i was overly interested in what fields she was entering on the computer, as i had the sinking feeling i was going to be told something was too high and i couldn't donate.

Before donation, my bp came in at 130/80.

Haven't taken a reading today, but would be interested to see if there's any difference.
Will update thereafter.
Mid day is always going to be a high reading.
Your supposed to take multiple readings. In the AM, afternoon and PM and average them out. Also your supposed to take a couple readings at the same time and average them out.

I have a nice Amron i got from Wallys and i can get 3 different readings in 5 -10 minutes time based on posture and breathing technique.

Not sure how true his is but nice heard donating blood is like changing the oil in your car if you donate as much as your allowed. I seen something a while back and some lab that had an old rat that was slow and not Very active and a young one in some experiment. Old mice that received young blood experienced a burst of brain cell growth in the hippocampus. They had three to four times as many newborn neurons as their counterparts. But that was not all: old blood had the opposite effect on the brains of young mice, stalling the birth of new neurons and leaving them looking old before their time.Theres a company that is literally doing this to humans with good results. Take older humans and basically filling them up with new young blood. Idk sounds crazy!

I was crazy when i first started cycling and like alot of dumb shits i was running tren over a gram ( fucking stupid). And like alot of idiots i was running tren E for 16+ weeks (fucking stupid). And i didnt have any real plan except to get huge. Well i developed a heart murmor i found during my physical and that was a wake up call. Doc said doesnt necessarily mean anything but i KNOW it was because of my reckless tren use. I developed a program to donate blood on an ACTUAL schedule and revamped my AAS use. No more heart murmor. Havent had it in 2 yrs.

Donating blood is a GOOD idea :)

I'm thinking it will drop

Shit, forgot to update this sooner.
Checked my bp the other day, so about a week after donating, i scored 133/69.

Was 130/80 at the time of donation, so i'm not too stressed with the current numbers.
Though of course, they could be better.
The key for me is diet, which is in definite need of cleaning up.

There's actually a company in the US that is doing young blood transfusions. Granted it's not blood from a child but a young healthy adult over the age of 18.

A CT theory behind the large number of missing children in the D.C. area is not Pedos and government but child blood draining.

I've got a 21G Terumo wing infusion set and 60 ml BD syringes. The blood bank denied me permanently because I lived in one of the countries on their "no" list for 15 years. Last time I was able to let go off 120 ml and felt better immediately; however no significant drop in my Hct, Hg, serum iron or ferritin levels.

Going to try again tomorrow...hopefully 180 ml this time

i donated blood today, as the title states.
i was surprised, after reading on here about the Red Cross checking hemoglobin levels first, i don't believe that they did.

They took my temp, bp, pulse rate and checked my iron. All of which passed and you know how the rest goes.

i watched as they entered the numbers into the computer. No mention of hemoglobin... Unless they can extrapolate that from my iron count?

Either way, feeling better already.
The god damned itchiness and dull headaches have dropped off to nearly nothing.

This boys a happy camper tonight. :D
Nice
yep some blood banks only use some "components" like plasma or platelets

Unless you frequent a BLOOD donation facility on a regular basis I can promise you a Hgb was conducted in addition to a slew of other tests.

Patients are generally only provided this info on a "need to know basis".

I believe they use 16g needles and I can imagine the difference between that and 18g is significant. The flow with anything above 18g is almost non-existent.

Correct bc of time constraints SHORT and FAT "needles" are essentially mandatory for blood donation, which is unlike blood administration which CAN be achieved thru a 22 gauge angiocath.

Yep, the Red Cross rules in the US are retarded. I've donated in several countries and only in the US is it so fucked up that you pretty much have to lie to donate. Unless you're some local yokel who's never ever been anywhere, especially not overseas.

It would behoove you to obtain several more BPs readings such as;
- during a WO
- about one hour after a WO
- upon awakening and before your morning Jo
- before hitting the sac

as doing so can better approximate the relative risk in "pre-hypertensive" patients

Wednesday (today) is an off day for training, but i resume tomorrow and will do just as you wrote.

So theres a study that revealed hippocampus cell growth in mice who received a BLOOD DONATION and from that study some company decided to repeat the mice study in humans, with the end result being "good results" in humans

Well this story has a future in the annals of bro-science bc like much of the misinformation on PED forums the AUTHOR fails to cite the original reference or mention those details required for evidence based research.

For instance in order to ensure a reasonable level of credibility a study like you described would REQUIRE the MICE be euthanized to obtain a hippocampal biopsy.

Perhaps I'm in error, but tend to believe, once any sane human noted the informed consent page read; "BRAIN BIOPSY", they would be running for the door!
