Life after being diagnosed with LVH...

I'm a bodybuilder. What does a bodybuilder do when diagnosed with Left ventricle hypertrophy? Do we stick to TRT, or even come off entirely? Let me know what you think. I'm sure I'm not the only one here with this diagnosis. I wouldn't doubt there are some of you out there blasting knowing you've got LVH.

The main thing is to ensure you are watching your blood pressure several times a day. Restructure the way you approach things such as steroid usage and cycles.

Examples would be, if you are dead set on still cycling, then use less and use the ones that don’t spike blood pressure such and tren , dbol etc... instead switch up to primo, low test etc.

When lifting DONT go for hours at a time and regulate the blood pressure. That is the key to keeping Lvh to a minimum.

Thanks. What about cardio?

Cardio is the same.

Don’t run marathons for hours on end 5,6,7 days a week.

Moderation is key here.
45 minutes or so, the key is the other 23 hours of the day the bp should be regulated.

Anything over 120/80 is now considered hypertension. It will be imperative for you to maintain as close or lower to those numbers going forward.

Lvh is reversible correct?

LVH is reversible but continuing to blast probably makes that unlikely.

Metformin is also showing promise in assisting that, but my reading hasn’t led me to a strong conclusion that it’s significant for what we do as most studies are in diabetics/obese.

Here's my plan:

1) Downsize from 243 to 215. I'm 6'2 around 12% bodyfat.
2) Commit to TRT only. Planning to do 100MG a week.
3) Continue taking blood pressure meds.
4) Do more cardio.
5) Start eating a really clean diet.

Anyone in here know someone or experienced recovery from it personally , I mean full reversal? Doc told me a few weeks ago based on ekg only , I have a slightly enlarged lvh , but my blood pressure has been high 148/81 that day and says the bystolic should clear it up, I wonder if they were just pulling this out of there ass , if I even have it ? I haven’t stopped my blast but worrying myself to death, and have set a end date just trt in the future . Thanks for sharing guys

It depends on the cause. LVH is an adaptive response to exercise in many serious athletes especially weightlifters.

Id been blasting and cruising for 4 years then I got a echocardiogram and it showed I had slight LVH and my doctor said a lot of athletes have it and not to worry since it wasn’t to bad. But I guess you can get it from just exercising especially strength training.

Can any one read these ekg test and have enough experience to give some insights , when nurse called she said it was a SLIGHT enlargement , got my blood pressure down to 120s over 75 , just looking for piece of mind from some vets upload_2020-9-12_14-46-1.jpeg @Millard Baker @Mac11wildcat

A lot of Olympic athletes get it IIRC. Minor isn’t the issue. It’s significant LVH that causes issues.

When you have minor or relevant LVH isn't it reasonable to stop the cause of it completely if serious LVH can be life threatening?
I'm basically looking to give up gear and change my life, but I feel like your post and some others are making me keep one foot in the door.
