I then read through and pull out the top 3 sources that were mentioned the most, check the members see they have been here a while and have points or likes or whatever.

I then go and do my own research having those 2 or 3 sources that were mentioned +5-6 times knowing that Multiple members backed them.

See how that DOES add up and could work very well.
