What happened?

There's not as many successful and knowledgeable lifters with experience. It's great that we have guys like Peter Bond and Type11x, sort of a replacement for Drs Scally and Jim. Unfortunately they are out numbered by a seemingly endless influx of reddit trolls and 19 year olds who already know everything.

I used to come here for knowledge. Now days, I mostly come just for the entertainment.

Exactly, i like dont really absorb the info like i did, because its all spewed crap. Of youtube videos and just bs. I agree peterbond and type2 has great info, and there is some good info but not like the true experience info, more just passing down the gravepine. I once heard.

And when you try to help someone out, it becomes a dick measuring contest where the original question becomes irrelevant.

My account is only 2.5 years old so take what I say with a grain of salt.

But yeah, I've noticed the same. I think it's that a lot of good members are missing, from what I understand many have been banned. Although I don't know the details.

The covid lockdowns and restrictions etc. have really brought the worst out in people as well. What I mean is that outside of this forum people are just as miserable too.

For some reason a lot of new members have joined too and they act ... ehh ... strange. Not sure where they are all coming from to be honest.

I like when new members join, but not when they start going off on everyone for no reason.

The internet in general has gotten worse and worse for many years.

There are so few sites I regularly visit. Maybe 4 total. It was a lot better when people felt free to express themselves.

When I first signed onto the internet (before the World Wide Web) only upper income people could afford it. Almost everyone I chatted with was a top level professional. One was an FBI agent who also raced motorcycles professionally. Another was a millionaire antique dealer, another was from a wealthy publishing family, one girl in I chatted with won the Miss Singapore contest. Almost everyone was I would say , had a 130+ IQ, or at least a big percentage. Also, you had to pay by the minute to get online. One girl I knew, had a $1200 a month internet bill.

Then after the prices went down, and flat fee's came, and every welfare bum had an Obama phone and the internet, well..... now it seems you have a disproportionate amount of disabled, poor, welfare types, and other Dregs of society.

Thats my gripe for the day.

why dont you go socialize on 4chan or somewhere else with your fellow high iq individuals.

Threads like this get started at least once per year. They're cyclical. The forum goes through peaks and valleys.

Ironically, the thread inevitably turns to shit by the same people that mysteriously think they're somehow contributing to it or holding it together.

My question is where did these knowledgeable members go? Life just take priority? Why would they have been banned?

This place is like a gym. You ever go to the gym and see the same people there day in and day out for maybe even years... then some just stop going? Meso isn't much different.

There is also a rumor that veteran members are being banned to protect sources here... which is laughable.

If it were true, yours truly would be on that list for all the shit i give to Buster Brown in the Naps!!! thread for posting stock pics with fake reviews attached.

Lol no doubt... I don't really venture into the UG these days but, I should have been banned 20 times over for all the source shit talk I've done here in the past.
