Nad +

Has anyone had a positive experience using NAD+
I want to give it a try for it's " cognitive & energizing " benefits, but have been reading a lot of snake oil claims

Yeah. I've read that it's not bioavailable blah blah blah. Granted I inject more than the typical dosages you see online (1-2g/day depending on mood/free time). Haven't changed diet, exercise or meds in past 2 weeks. More energy in the gym, cardio is easier and fat has melted off. Don't forget to supplement with TMG.

What’s your protocol with it? 1-2g ED?

For others who stumble in here reading about TMG, people using injectable glutathione should also supplement TMG.

Yeah. Just used my bro logic thinking that 1g in the AM would give my body what it needs to get through an active working day and 1g in the PM would let my body repair itself more optimally while I sleep. To be honest, I felt positive effects already doing 250mg AM/250mg PM. Will probably dial it back some to goldilocks a more reasonable dosage.

How long you been at this? You doing it IM? I did 100-150mg every other day, with 600mg glutathione on off days, and one day off a week. I got a ton of benefits, but I’m curious to hear more about what you’re getting from pushing it so high, and how long you’ll be at it?

You have NAC and Glutathione who have scientific studies of benefits.
I don't think there's much research for NAD+ (if any).
What benefits are you guys seeing and could it be placebo?

What benefits did you see and were they immediate ?
Most immediate was clearer skin, better looking skin, and more energy. It also felt like inflammation in general in my body was lighter. Recovery slightly faster. I felt like my hair looked a little better but my girlfriend couldn’t confirm.

PM injections don't keep you awake ?
I initially thought it would, but I still sleep fine.

Not very long. Hitting the 3-4 week mark now? I try to do 600mg glutathione 2x a week as well. I've definitely hit a point of diminishing returns with going over 1g NAD+/day. But compared to the oral NAD precurors I was taking before this, the difference is (feelz-wise/cosmetically) night and day.

Like a week into the high dosage NAD+, I had a layer of dry skin all over my body. Was thinking wtf why's this shit so unusually dry? Scrubbed it off and had clearer better skin. In terms of hair, barber gets confused about why it gets better every time in terms of color and volume. Don't know what the fuck that means exactly, but if a hair pro that doesn't generally make those comments does...I'll take it lol. Granted, those comments were also made while I was initially supplementing with liposomal NMN, the skin thing at least was never that prominent.

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for reading this unscientific feelz report on NAD+. I understand that the science may say this or that, but I don't exactly like to live my life as if it was an exact science experiment. Rocky sees something interesting, Rocky tries. Rocky gets benefits that he otherwise wouldn't get? Rocky continues.

But how are you taking it, oral have no uptake and 1g injections is nothing you can do without giving it in a IV for 1-3 hours, otherwise you will be in severe pain

1g Injectable NAD+? Woah!

Depletion of methyl groups, you need methyl donors with it like tmg/dmg/choline
NAh. I infact take too much Methyl donors. My typical TMG dose is 1500mg/day, Minus all the oral folate I take and the occasional MIC aminos.
It's not a fatigue thingy. I'm able to lift weights and stay awake. Just wrecks cardio.

I had this issue as well and if its not from lack of methylation it can be due to tanking blood sugar. if its a oral nad booster i need carbs with it

Would it not be more beneficial to do daily pins of glut due to the short half life?

What is the highest concentration you have managed to reconstitute at, for NAD+? Can be hold at at least 400mg/ml? Glut can be done at 700mg/ml, I would think NAD+ is 1/2 that.

What I'm gathering is,
Take NAD+ to gain energy, accomplish the exact opposite
Now spiral down the rabbit hole of trying to manage the side effects by adding in other compounds
