Bro if you’re that broke I can send you some gear@allgoodthings
As many can vouch for, I am indeed poor and I don't have anything besides a half used vial of test I've been rationing for months. Handouts are absolutely welcomed!!

Why are you guys rubbing all over the metal cap? Are you dragging your needle across that before you stick it through the rubber?

Press your wipe down in the center and spin in a circle. This is an ineffective technique issue.
If you look at the photo of the cap you can see it is worn right close to the center. What you suggested is exactly how I wipe the vile top. The exposed part of the stopper is quite small so inevitably there is some overlap when wiping the top.

I don't care about this colored cap thing but I will say I do wipe down the whole cap. Just like when I spray/disinfect an area I don't just spray the 6" square working space I'm going to be using but rather most of the countertop in the area I'm working.

You’re not wrong. I had the same issue but I was a little overzealous in wiping the top. I no longer get the paint transfer, but does that mean no chemicals are smearing across the stopper? Idk I’m going to use them regardless, but don’t think the concern is trivial. They look nice but maybe unfinished metal is a better collar option?

I agree. I am going to continue to use the product but swapping caps away from color probably isn't the worst move.

I start from the center, and then push everything out towards the edge. I never wipe outside in.

I submerge my vials in a bath of alcohol and Chlorhexidine just to be thorough

Respect, bro. 8 years is a solid stint, sorry it took such a toll on you. How fucked is fucked? Luckily all the places I work have power loads, binder lifts, SLIPPs, all the fancy stuff to help us not turn into nonconsensual origami. But every once in a while you gotta carry a 300 pound piss soaked woman balls deep in her 5th seizure down a rickety ass set of wooden steps using nothing but a wet bedsheet, and in times like that I’m very thankful for the added oomph on my lifts and increased capacity gear has bestowed upon me.

Plus firing magic muscle mix into my ass cheek is fun, so.
Last time I got an MRI and I have a few bulging discs that thankfully don’t act up all the time. I’ve done physically therapy pretty regularly so it helps a ton but nothing in need of a immediate surgery thank God. What fucks me is I’m just turning 29 so I started early and am ending the game early. Yeah one of the many companies I worked for in that time were cheap fucks so we didn’t get the fancy battery assisted equipment. Took a few new companies to work for when we finally did. Wasn’t fun that one time we had a 360lb fucking ogre of a man 6’6 bed ridden had to maneuver this dude through the tiniest hallway in a backboard with the fire dept it was miserable and of course they had huge Viking mofos who didn’t fit in the hallway so it was up to us “smaller” guys to get it done.
