USA Discounted Blood work

The labs i do through Fitomics never show up in my Labcorp portal unless i send them email asking them to put them there. I have no idea why as the info matches what’s on my portal
Weird, my first notification is usually from Labcorp that they’re ready, before Fitomics sends the email.

Unfortunately, its the stupid medical system. The only way we have been able to figure out how to obfuscate this is to order under a pseudonym or use a smaller independent lab. Both LC and Quest are part of the LabPiQture network.
So if we order under a pseudonym vita fitnomics or goodlabs and provide the pseudonym details when arriving at a testing center it really shouldn't link back to anything?

Labs want identification when getting bloodwork. Unless you have fake IDs, it would be hard to see this working.

Don't use full name.
ID does not need full match.

If you're John Doe obviously don't buy a labtest for Tom Smith.
John D? Sure.

I stopped using my full name, it no longer turns up in LC portal.

Am i the only one who doesn’t like the new Fitomics portal? Ordering labs just became a whole lot more of a pain in the ass, not too mention the “dynamic” pricing i saw on some various tests. Hopefully the old page stays active because it’s much more simple to use from an ordering labs standpoint

I've kept a spreadsheet with the tests I regularly order along with the price. A quick glance at the new order page shows prices went up a lot:

Cystatin C: $19.76 -> $27.00
Testosterone LC/MS: $22.48 -> $34.90
SHBG: $16.99 -> $19.90
Reverse T3: $12.93 -> $21.90
Advanced Iron Panel: $13 -> $58.71 !!!!!!!!!!!

With the subscription fee fitomics won't be competitive on price anymore.

You're not the first I've heard say this which has me kinda sketched on switching over. My current sub runs out in a couple days and I have all my tests ordered for the foreseeable future.

Some questions @DonLigero

Does converting your account block you from the old way of ordering? When you resub, are you now forced into the new portal? I see they have an enticing 15% off your first order when you convert an existing account. Would this apply to resubs? I don't need it every month so I just pay as I go.

Try checking again, i noticed the prices changed a bit when i rechecked them, hence the “dynamic” pricing comment. Still higher but constantly changing doesn’t sit well

To my understanding, they're still adjusting prices. Email them and ask them to price match the old store.

Yes. I don't recommend switching over yet.

Once you switch, you cannot automatically switch back. The goal is to sunset the old system in the coming months.

Several prices have been tweaked today. ALL OF THIS FEEDBACK is going to Cody Haun the owner.

The Advanced Iron Panel on the new shop includes several more biomarkers than the previous one. It was created by Dr. David Hardin their in house physician so he can quickly order. So, Cody has just split these off. So now you have the old one as 1.0 and the new as 2.0

Here is 1.0 now.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep sending me feedback. THIS group is EXACTLY Fitomics target customer. Folks who test deep and often and they will do as much as necessary to keep customers satisfied.

This is Cody who is teaching on this topic at ISSN next month. He is a TRUE BELIEVER in science and data and wants to enable everyone to have access to as much of their own data as possible.

The new platform was build from the ground up and they manually priced the biomarkers. Keep the feedback coming here or email them directly and they will adjust where they can. I really appreciate the feedback.

They originally built the site in a weekend 18 months ago as a POC on SquareSpace which was a dinosaur of a platform. The new system will allow scale and most importantly have real-time partial and full results in your dashboard.

Did the quest prices drop?
Strangely it does look comparable to GL now..
