1st Test Injection, no difference

Hey guys. I'm a 27 year old male who's been struggling with textbook symptoms of low-T for over 2 years now. I have low energy, no ambition, VERY low libido, trouble concentrating, mucle loss, fat gain, etc.

When I first realized that my T could be the problem, I went to my general doc and got blood work done. He didn't really know what he was doing and only checked for total test the first time. It came back 251 ng/dl. He wanted me to recheck first thing in the morning when my levels would be higher, and this time he added free test. My recheck came back at 350ng/dl total and 3.82% free. He said I was "normal" and seemed satisfied with that. I was not, since we all know that the normal range is not optimum for everyone, and even if it was, I don't want to just be normal in the early morning.

I found a urologist and explained my symptoms. He seemed more proactive and wanted to check my total, free, LSH, FSH, and Prolactin. These results have not yet come back. He did want to give me a shot of T to see if it helped me feel better and told me to come back in 4 weeks. That was on 2/16, and I have not felt any effects of the shot. I don't know how much he gave me or what type, but thought that I would receive SOME benefit from it. I have not had any increase in libido or energy. I started wondering if he had given me a placebo to see if my symptoms were psychosomatic.

Please give any advice you may have on what I need to check to figure this out. I am at my wits end, and just want to feel normal again. Do injections take longer to work than topical cream? I need to stay away from cream, as my wife is pregnant (I guess I at least have good timing since we only had sex twice the month that we conceived). I don't want to risk exposing her or the baby to the cream.

Another item to consider is that I have mild sleep apnea. I've been on a CPAP for a month and a half and don't feel any better from that either.

Thanks in advance

It's been my experience that just one shot is not something you can feel as it does not substantially raise Test levels.

Going back to when I juiced it took more like 2-3 weeks of 3 shots per week when all of the sudden you would feel a definite increase in your Test levels.

As far as HRT goes it took me about 6 weeks for me to have noticable effect at those much lower doses and then it was more subtle.
