1st time home brew

Hey everyone

So I'm about to have a bash at home brewing for the first time. I set up and did a trial run the other day to discover that my 50ml syringes and syringe filters were not sterile. I have reordered the necessary items, and I believe that once they are here I am ready to get started. I have read and read and read so many different brewing procedures and I have put together my own steps to refer to throughout the procedure. I'll copy them in below, and I would appreciate if some of you could have a glance through them and let me know if I'm going wrong anywhere. Thank you all in advance.

  1. Weigh out the desired amount of raw powder needed.
  2. Place in glass beaker and add the BA followed by the BB.
  3. In a pan with an inch of water from a boiled kettle put the beaker in. Mix until dissolved.
  4. Warm the carrier oil following the same procedure in a separate glass beaker. Add the carrier oil to the beaker and warm it up slightly until the mixture becomes clear. Leave 2ml of the entire carrier oil separate.
  5. Attach 21 guage needle to the .22 PVDF syringe filter.
  6. Swab the top of the vial with alcohol swaps to sterilise it and allow to dry. Then push the 21 guage needle through the rubber stopper. Vent the vial with another needle.
  7. Draw mixture into large syringe, attach to whatman filter and begin filtering.
  8. In separate syringe draw the remaining 2ml of carrier oil and put through the same filter to clear it of left over hormone.
  9. Pin it.
  10. Eat, sleep, train and start swelling!!!!!

Can u not just get Autoclave bags and sterilize your syringes that way .
Problem solved

And I'm a newbie at it too . but a magnetic heated stir plate is a blessing .
I'm gonna be honest here bro.
I would spend some money on your equipment b4 you put that shit in your body .
I have over $1500 just in equip and then roughly $1200 in raws .
But I'm the type that I want the best of the best. And $1500 doesn't by you the best of the best . but I can assure you that it's a pretty nice setup . I just tell myself my safety and health is way more important then saving a few dollars .

But some home brew dudes don't use a autoclave and do well. But there's always that one time !!!
And that one time can cost you your life if a infection sets up shop and gets to your body parts that can ruin your ruin ur life .

I bought a used referb ( very rep able clave for roughly $500) and it's more of a piece of mind.

Don't cut yourself short on sterilization !!!!

And a good heated stir plate for $175 plus $50 shipping . all bought with BS user name and BS PayPal account with a prepaid card .
just like we said in the Marines when on my last deployment #leaveNoTrace

Don't use a hot water bath. Water and oil don't mix. I got a regular hotplate for 17 dollars and glass stirring rods are dirt cheap. But if you can swing the cash like @Mechanics said drop it on equipment. My next homebrew will be some type of autoclave/dry heat cabinet as well.
