5X5 on cutting phase help.

I'm doing a cutting phase right now and I'm wondering how do I have to change the 5X5 to fit the calorie deficit. I've read that a hard training program like this cannot be done without gear on a limited number of calorie so is there a way to do it?

Reps have no effect on cutting IMO. I personally think low reps are better for cutting due to energy limits due to calorie deficiencies. But for myself I hate low reps due to injuries so I stick to 10-15 reps.

High reps have a different effect on muscles than lower do but this is generally believed. Everyone is different and has a unique body type. When you are on a cutting phase, what you seek is painful, high rep training because you're going to burn a lot more fat and expel much more water.

Personally i would do 2 basic exercises with low reps on the beginning of my routine and then 2-3 isolation exercises using higher reps ranging from 12-20. Always with good form.

Supersets, trisets, gigasets and so on are most helpful.

Dont mess with things for a while, don't let your vision for a six pack spoil your strength and size gains during the 5x5- eat more.
