A little tip from one first-cycler to another...

Well, I'm in my 4th week of my first cycle of dbol, deca and sust. I've gained about 22 lbs and made great strength gains. The strength gains came so fast and in such quantities that my connecting tissues have really struggled to keep up. Mainly my biceps and forearm areas. Nothing serious, but it is a set back.
What I will do on my next cycle is what I would recommend to any first timer. Instead of slapping on more weight every week, I'm going to keep the rep range a little higher and just add reps until I'm getting a certain weight for 10-12's, then only add enough weight to put my failure at about 8 reps. I can't imagine that one wouldn't still make good strength/size gains doing this.
I have been doing sets with reps in the 6 range, but my strength shot up a lot and I just kept packing on more weight when I should have done more reps instead.
I'm sure some people will disagree with this as everyone will have different experiences, but at least for a first cycle, I would suggest guys get to where they can crank out a weight for 10 to 12 reps before adding on more weight. This way the tendons etc will have a little more time to adapt.
I'm not trying to sound like a know it all...just trying to save some others from learning the hard way.

cheers,
