A riddle

A 30 year old man married a 25 year old woman. She died at age 50
and her husband was so devastated that he cried for years. Ten
years after he stopped crying, he died. If he had lived to be 80,
how many years was he a widower?
 
No,,,, Phreezer, I got this off of a riddle site,,, I know the anwser,,, but I had to ask for it..... So I know the answe but still cant figure out why... do you want the answer,,, because I think if you can figure out why,,, thats a riddle in itself....lol

hmmmm.. I got your pm .. but I can't see it... Maybe I'm just too stupid...but I don't think the "answer" from the riddle site is correct... perhaps someone will come along witht the correct answer...(matching the sites) if they do..please have them explain it to me ;)

It's actually pretty simple math..

she died at 50 so he was 55 years old when she died If he had lived to be 80 then 80-55 = 25 ...That is how long he would have been a widow
 
Another riddle for you.

What is greater than God, more evil than the Devil, rich people want it, poor people have it, and if you eat it you will die?

There really is an answer to this riddle. The sad part is that less than 10% of Harvard graduates came up with the answer, while 86% of Kindergarten students answered it immediately.
