Keflex is the most common prescribed antibiotic for abscesses.

My doc just prescribed Keflex, but does not think it is an infection... Leg is red, swollen and hot to the touch... They said it was an allergic reaction.. Started me on Prednisone and Benadryl... The keflex is in case that did not work... so far, no need for keflex... I was running mex gear by the way...4th shot...
