Adding TMG to Indolplex/DIM?

I started on TMG 8 days ago and have lost a lot of bloat or water. Plus I was doing one Indolplex/DIM when I started on TMG now my E2 went to low I had to stop taking the Indolplex/DIM for the last 2 days. I started back on it today and am taking one half a pill I am also cutting the TMG in half. Strange that adding TMG did this. What is 4-OHE.

Here is a cut & paste of what Dr. John said about taking DIM.

dangerous 4-OHE as well as improving 2-OHE/16-alpha-OHE. Thus it
should not be taken without DMG, or preferably TMG, to wash the 4-OHE
downstream in its metabolic pathway. Folic acid helps as well.

Pure Encapsulations sells it separately or as a part of combo called Homocystein Factors. I take the later.

Phil,

I'm taking a guess here, but I believe that the TMG (which can also be used in place of the product samE - as a much cheaper substitute or precursor - for those so interested) helps the liver in metabolizing E2 (and probably the other estrogens also) quicker from the body.

I had read quite a bit about samE (also kn9wn as SAMe or "Sammy" - (S-Adenosyl-Methionine). I recall specifically reading about SAMe's very positive effects on the liver where it is involved (quoting from below source) "in various detoxification pathways, including the proper metabolism of estrogen. ...(it is) also involved in the production of bile salts that help to digest fats."

See:

http://www.herbalhut.com/sam-e.htm
http://qualitycounts.com/fpsame.html
http://www.smart-drugs.net/JamesSouth-SAMe.htm

So if TMG (Tri-methyl-glycine) is a precursor to samE, then TMG would likewise aid in the proper metabolism of estrogens from the body. That would then likely account for the loss of bloating, no?

TMG also has a number of other very positive benefits *as shown by actual clinical trials, not simply anecdotal). Things like:

Homocysteine Lowering
Glutathione Elevation (the body's most important antioxidant)
Anti-depression (By raising level of beneficial samE)

http://qualitycounts.com/fptmg.html
http://www.lifeextensionvitamins.com/lifeextensionvitamins/tmg1.html
http://www.diagnose-me.com/treat/T36338.html

Anyway, I think that's why TMG is such a vital component to take along with DIM. As I understand it, DIM doesn't block the conversion of T to E2 as much as it converts E2 into the "good" estrogens (E1 and E3) - while also "possibly" metabolizing the estrogens somewhat more quickly. The TMG then aids the liver in metabolizing the estrogens out of the body (urine?) and is a general protective compound for liver functioning.

I think.

I am finding it very hard to dose my DIM adding TMG I had to stop taking the Indolplex/DIM I went to low again. And I stopped the TMG also last night I had a panic attack and this tells me my E2 went to high. WTF doing this I am going down very fast I went from 1 pill a day to 1/2 a pill did this with the TMG also. I am also going up very fast when I stop taking the 2 of them. I will keep trying to find the right dose if I can't I am droping the TMG. I am like on a roller coaster ride.

pmgamer18, what sides are you getting letting you know your E2 gets too low? I started taking Dim recently also, and I'm trying to figure out what dose to take.

The first thing that happens is my morning wood stops when this happens I stop taking the Indolplex/DIM. I use this as a gauge and it works good for me I have labs that prove this. So I stop taking the DIM until the morning wood comes back. Then I go back on it but take Less. I was told to try this by David Z.

I now feel my E2 came down so fast because of the HCG Medcohealth sent me. It was the Genetic for Novarel and my E2 came down because this HCG did not work so my T levels came down Big time. Now back on Novarel as of today and now I need to start all over again doseing to keep my E2 down. Life is a bag of crap.
