Advice first cycle anavar bikini competitor

Just looking to get some advice from users with more experience. I’ve done a ton of research and I know that I do want to use Anavar to prep for my next NPC bikini competition. I have a legit source and will be testing my var since I know it is often faked.


I’m competing in a bikini show in 10 weeks I was considering running a six week var cycle starting with 5 mg a day (2.5 in the am and 2.5 in the pm) for the first 2 weeks and making my way up to 10 mg a day in week 3-6 then just focusing on cutting with no gear the last 4 weeks before my show.


Background: I’ve competed before. I’m 31 years old (hence why I’m thinking I want the extra oomph of gear in my game since I’m getting older my body isn’t as responsive as it once was). I’ve been lifting for 3-4 years. Diet will be clean dialed and I will be following a meal plan designed by my coach and counting macros. I’ll be lifting 5-6 days a week and doing HIIT cardio as calculated by my coach (it will obviously be increasing the closer I get to the show). I’ve never ran any type of gear ever and plan on running just var alone.


My main question is does the 6 week cycle make sense while on prep? Does anyone have any recommendations for what might work better? Should the 4 weeks off var be enough time to further cut or should I run the 6 weeks a little longer or taper of the var for 2 weeks turning it to a total of 8 week cycle?
