Do anti-inflamitories inhibit gains at all? Doctor told me to tkae htem daily for a couple weeks for an inflamed rotator cuff.

Might be a stupid question, but i know anti-biotics inhibit gains by way of raising cortisol levels. I was just wonering if anti-infalmitories inhibit gains through one way or another.

they indeed may, but only slightly http://magazine.mindandmuscle.net/magmain.php?issueID=34&pageID=409 .....not near as much as a torn rotator cuff though.

What inhibits gains more, a few weeks of an anti-inflamatory or 3+ months of rehab?

This, IMO, is a question about minutia, and the minutia doesnt matter for 99.95% of all people who lift.

All i will say is that i hear the Aleve has to be taken for a few days in order for it to start working properly and i hear it is the best for pain ... Then there are Perks Oxy Roxy but we won't get into them :)

Aleve does work better for me. I dont care about the pain, but it works wonders in calming down the inflamation.
