so the first of these two look to be the same thing I read in an old eas sports supplement review 3rd edition almost 15 years ago. I mentioned it in one my earliest threads I started. in it a man named tobjorn akerfeldt proposed a dieting style where for two weeks you overeat, and for two weeks you undereat in order maximize muscle building and fat burning hormones through diet and exercise to make lean muscle gains.
this, along with underground body opus, and the warrior diet, which is one of the original intermittent fasting diets, have definitely influenced how I eat. using these strategies together, I believe, is the best way to build muscle and remain lean.
in the above links he talks about overeating and undereating cycles, but also talks about micro cycles within the two weeks instead of just calculating calories and macros and eating the same thing everyday for weeks on end like a traditional bulk/cut. interestingly enough he even mentions "bodybuilders switching over to ultra-short cycles for one or two weeks, with mega doses". maybe hes heard of bill roberts two weeks on two weeks off cycle, which could possibly work with this diet even though its geared towards natural athletes. clenbuterol is typically cycled for two weeks at a time as well. I like the idea of two weeks on two weeks off (or more) for strength gains and recomp and will likely give it a go soon. im also going to try to put these eating strategies together into something tangible.
