Swale does not accept insurance. Unless prices have changed, his initial consultation is $200 and subsequent "virtual office visits" via the internet are $50. However, the labs he orders and the medications he prescribes can be covered by your insurance. For me, the labs are covered. That's the biggest expense (whew). The medication I'm on (T cyp and hcg) are covered by my insurance, IF I provide bloodwork results and my totat T is below a certain level - 270ng/dl I think - and my doctor fills out forms, etc. But since the medication is so cheap, and since my employer administers the health plan and could find out what I'm taking, I elect simply to pay out of pocket and order it from the pharmacy Swale uses for convenience and privacy. I added up the total cost and its somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 a month for medication, including shipping costs. Thats not much more than the deductables I would have to pay if I used my insurance
So, after the initial consult, my ongoing costs are $50 a month in medication and $50 twice a year for VOVs. Worth every penny IMO.
