Anyone have any anecdotal info on Gastric Sleeve?

Not Men's Health, but didn't see a Women's Health forum.

Wife is dead set on getting a gastric sleeve in a month. The whole permanency of the procedure scares me.

Anyone know someone who's gotten it?

Is that to shed some weight?
If so why don't she try some T3 first?
Telmisartan if she has high BP
maybe even some low dose DNP?

They're all cheaper, less invasive and if used properly hold less potential complications that the gastric sleeve.

@keoking I don't know anyone whose had it done... I do hope that she gives diet and exercise an honest try before going this route though. Best of luck.

Is that kinda like the thing like when the staple your stomach smaller?

If it's similar I know a women who did it with great success.

I just had a convo with a lady that had it done. She said she lost a ton of weight, but she didn't credit that for keeping the weight off. She said that if it wasn't for eating therapy(?) Or what seemed like alcoholics anonymous but for over eaters she would've gained it back.

She also stated that studying nutrition and working out plus the therapy was more beneficial and if she knew what she knew now, then, she wouldn't of ever got the sleeve.

She said she went from close to 3bills(Maybe 260ish I forget) to 160s. And then gained some back. She seems to be in a happier place right now tho.
