Anyone thinking about quitting gear?

My last alive parent passed away recently so that puts me next in line so to speak, makes you philosophize about life and death. Being almost 40 and having built a family i wonder if i should be really doing gear.

It was in my plans to lower gear use after this summer but on top of it my mother passed away. Im mostly a "test 500mg only" kind of guy blasting and cruising for the last year but now im worrying even more about health. Im doing 250mg test per week wondering if i should still lower to trt dose or even quit completely.

Is there anyone who is or was in similar situation and how did it go?

50's here, won't quit. Slow down a bit yes. No point in being older then 80 and not be mobile and in shape. Most Men dont make it past 80 with any issues with or without gear.

Edit: yes trt dose for sure, no need to blast after a certain point.

Doses that are over the normal range will likely cut life expectancy i figure. Carrying around a lot of muscle too will too from what i read. Small and moderate is the life style for long life. I am in my 60's and still am on Dr. prescribed TRT(25 years) with higher doses on occasion. But my cycles are more like 250-300mg/week since i got into my 50's. 15mg/day keeps me in the low 800's all week long.

More important to focus on health metrics than assuming gear is the primary threat to your health.

What's your BP? That's unquestionably the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to long term health outcomes. 120/70 or lower if tolerable.

Then calcium score, APOb/lipids, liver fat, kidney function, A1c, followed by everything else.

If those can be brought under control, maintaining T at the higher end of the physiological range may be more protective (against depression and its complications, metabolic disorder, muscle atrophy, bone density, etc) than harmful.*
