anyone use a cable descrambler?

curious--i get hbo-skinamax, showtimecrystal clear w/ sound

but for some reason i cant get eh playboy channel w/ sound--

and it fades in and out while hbo etc. are all ok

WTF!!!!-usually my channel 94 is court tv , which is perfect
than at 10 it swithces to playboy....and loses the sound

Had it for 4 years in Boston
Works like a charm......I don't have digital cable though, which as of right now cannot be "descrambled" since it never gets scrambled in the first place.

The digital signal that makes up your television programming moves at a frequency higher than 54mhz. Your receiver sends back a signal after you order a pay per view with the billing info at a frequency lower than 54mhz. The new digital cable descrambler rocks!

This digital cable descrambler/filter stops anything lower than 54mhz from leaving your receiver. In effect, you will be able to test your pay per view features without being billed. It's your responsibility to call them to let them know which ones you watched since they will never know you watched it.

This is the best filter you can get. Beware of other digital cable descramblers! They might be the cheap ones that only cover up to 30mhz and if you have a 42mhz box you'll be out of luck and wishing you would have gotten ours instead. Digital cable descramlber.

I've talked to people that use it.
Basically a scam, you still have to order the movies and you won't get the channels that you don't subscribe to, which is the perk of having digital......over 500 channels and most are not payperview.....
Plus would you want to risk using this filter, and then find out it didn't work, the cable company compensates for it now or you did something wrong and then have to pay for the 50 movies you ordered? I don't think so.

How good can somethin be that sells for $6.95 on Ebay by 200 different people?

You guys missed the boat. DirecTV is the shit and was easily pirated for the last 10 years or so. They just recently, within the past month, threw a serious wrench into the scheme as they phased out the HU cards so that there is no fix for them. There is also no fix for the P4 cards because it has a complicated security feature that is nearly impossible to crack. Anyway, it was like 800 channels all wide open, definitly the shit. I'm so sad that it can't be hacked anymore that I strictly watch DVDS now because basical cable cannot fill my needs. Anyway, I'm looking into the dish network now because I think that still can be hit. I'll let you guys know. Fuck cable, that box is a two way signal which means if your stealing it, theres a chance they know what your doing. Sattellite is victim less because its a one way signal spread out all over the country. If you are tapping into it illegally, there is simply no way for them to know. Something to think about....

Well, I didn't miss the boat.. I've been enjoying the benefits of the HU card for the last couple of years... I just recently switched to digital cable because they finally shut down the HU signal.. I am well aware there is no hack for the P-4 cards... And yes, It sucks.

I went with Cox digital cable because they had the cheapest. HIdef packadge at the moment.... I have about 4 grand wrapped up in my home theatre pats fan.. I don't have a plasma, but I do have a nice Sony HiDef crt.

Oh yeah.. and stay away from the piratesden and hackhu.. They are both controlled by the FBI, and they logg the IP addy's of everyone who visits...

Well then they got mine lol. Ive never used them but got it through an AVS sight. I myself didnt go with the plasma because of burn in but the new lcd High def. Almost bought DLP but there still is this rainbow effect on thier sets. Ive had the set for 2 weeks and couldnt be happier. Hers the setup:
