ashwagandha and anxiety, lets talk a little bit

Hi guys, today i want to talk about a thing that has been discussed in the web but not that much. A lot of people who tried ashwagandha say that it has a strong effectiveness calming theirself, but it has even some side effects strong like anhedonia if took for too much time at high dosages. So today what i want to ask is, are there some people that tried ashwagandha and want to discuss their experiences? Give us a percentage, how much do you think from 0 to 100 ashwagandha can help to nuke anxiety ?

I never used it for anxiety. I took it during my years working the graveyard shift as an adaptogen to deal with the stress of changing sleep patterns during the week.

I never felt it did anything for my anxiety, personally. Only thing to work was big pharma unfortunately.

L-Theanine, amazing for anxiety and calmness

A good alternative to benzos I found is Kava. It works well and you can find it at the grocery store in "stress relief " teas, or in the raw pure form at most Indian and African stores.

Imo all the herbal stuff is nothing for anixety. Maybe I just have more than others I'm not sure. Only thing ashw did was I believe help with cortisol, but I truly can't say for certain except what is medically published. Senoril, ksm66 all of them did nothing for myself.

Not expensive and maybe worth a shot though

Ksm is supposed to be more energizing

Sensoril is more relaxing or sedating

Dude LTheanine does work, 100%. Taking a good amount 600-800 mg….

What worked for you?

Think i am going to get propalanol myself

I taken l theanine in high doses I mean 5g or so. I think it was placebo personally. Over time it just didn't do anything. It has a very high safety profile so there was no problems with mega dosing.

Multiple brands too just to make sure on quality. I have a bottle sitting upstairs right now still.

Weird, i feel a relief for sure, and if i take caffeine and take it, it lessens jitters caused from caffeine alot.

I've tried ashwaghanda from multiple sources - nootropics depot, iherb etc. and honestly have never found it made any noticeable effect on stress, anxiety, anything really.

I have on the other hand experienced markedly reduced perceived stress when taking rhodiola.

I guess with these things it's very subtle and situational and different adaptogens will work better for different people.

KSM-66 variety at 400mg a day just made me more emotionless week by week, definetly helps going through a breakup. I’d say it’s dependant on the person, but if you are emotionless you can’t have anxiety imo.

The only drug I've used peddled as an anxiolytic that actually worked was Phenibut, but I'm not sure if I would recommend it due to its mental and physical dependence potential. Ashwagandha, etc. have done nothing discernable for me, probably because their effects are not pronounced as "real" drugs.

Only thing I would be concerned with is losing feelings permanently something like pfs, i’ve seen people have something close to pfs but ashwaghanda style

Look into gabapentin or baclofen, they work
