When you get the needle in, you pull back on the syringe to see if blood backs up into the syringe. If so, your in a vein, pull out and replace the needle, re-insert in a different spot. If not, you are good to go. Good luck.
it is to check that your not injecting into a vein (a bad thing with aas)...its simply done by pulling back on the plunger after you insert the pin.if blood comes back in the barrel pull it out and redo.
