That was reported on the news this morning as well. Apparently his weight when he entered the hospital was 195 or 198. Thats not too bad for a guy 6 feet tall. The problem I see with this is that the anti-LC people, as usual, will lump all LC diets in with Atkins. You can quite easily do a low carb diet that is also low in total and/or saturated fat.
