Nope... seems absurdly extravagant for no real purpose? I know avocado oil also tends to very VERY prone to oxidation, not sure what the benefit would be?Anyone here ever brew with avocado oil?
I don’t know the benefits if any, but pharmasource is using hemp oil in one of his, and that seems more extravagant than anything, but maybe it’s used commonly and I’ve just never seen it? No idea.Nope... seems absurdly extravagant for no real purpose? I know avocado oil also tends to very VERY prone to oxidation, not sure what the benefit would be?

I'm switching things up and looking to brew with non saturated fats is all and not sure how oxidation will matter considering I won't be heating the oil or storing long term. And "Absurdly Extravagant" is a bit much bro, not like I'm using Unicorn piss or tears of angels lol![]()
Just meant in comparison. Guess if you got a good deal on it?And "Absurdly Extravagant" is a bit much bro, not like I'm using Unicorn piss or tears of angels
There was a study done by UC Davis last year I think that determined about 80% of avocado oil sold in the US is cut with other, cheaper oils or already past it's sell date.
Don't really understand the point of using it due to it being an unsaturated oil.... You could just use GSO.
You could just use GSO.
It is really just the oxidation factors from what I understand. Vials will end up with some amount of oxygen in them during the fill/cap process no matter what. A highly unsaturated carrier will degenerate fast. For brewing purposes what does it matter if it's saturated or poly/unsaturated?

How much faster though? Fucked if I know. I guess the math wouldn't be too hard to track down.
Hey man, I would really look into it a little bit before just willy-nilly pinning this shit especially if it’s possible that it’s past it’s due date and cut with other oils that could possible hide the fact that it’s no longer good, imagine pinning that and having a serious problem with somthing you’ve just injected into a muscle, please at least look into it a little further than asking the dudes here on the board, google has a wealth of knowledge too.Well I got a bunch of test-prop raws so I can burn some for an experiment lol. Last time I brewed up the prop I used walmart mct oil and the shit was painful as fuck so I'm going to try again with avocado oil and see how the pip is.

Either is perfectly fine so long as it’s 100% mct and not other oils, you’re gonna filter it anyways so it doesn’t make any difference in my opinion. Yeah that rancidity was my thought, and I really didn’t want you to pin something that could have serious health consequences brother.Hmmm ya just read that the oxidation causes the oil to go rancid so guess I'll try out a better quality mct oil and see how it goes. What mct oil you think is best?

Thanks.
This is my current carrier though I have used MCT in the past. Sweet Jesus the GSO is thick though!
Aside from the oxidation issue, I have no idea... I'm kind of wondering why you are specifically going for unsaturated but the GSO would cover that base if you wanted to use it.
I have only ever brewed with MCT, I'll very likely only ever brew with MCT. I used GSO from a source back when I first started and it was fine, definitely thick, but once I tried MCT I never looked back. It's so smooth it feels closer to water than oil.
I'll give mct oil a second go with some 100% stuff and see how it goes.
I've never had a bad experience with it but it's possible you don't tolerate it as well, I've never heard of anyone having that issue though. I've tried several different brands and they were all fine... They were all pharmaceutical grade.
Definitely make sure filtering is on point and lowest solvent volume needed - these cause more pip than anything.. Aside from poor injection technique probably.
