Guys, in 2025 I had 5 surgeries throughout the year. Jan had a rotator cuff surgery that didn’t work, so it was redone in July after I damaged it more. In the middle there was an eye surgery. Since then I had a surgery on my butt, and then a hernia repair six weeks ago. All this kept my gym time intermittent at best. I have probably lost several pounds of muscle and picked up 10 pounds of fat.

I’m 61yo, 5ft 6in. A year ago DEXA said I was at 12.9% BF. I’m cleared to go back to the gym for any level of activity at this point. My typical is an upper lower split 4 days per week. I used Reta and some Winny to try to keep the fat gain under control and I am on TRT (on the very high side at 280mg weekly) with HCG.

My goal is to try a recomp.

Notable data points from labs drawn 8 days ago report:

RBC 6.31 Million/uL
Hemoglobin 19.0 g/dl *****
Hemocrit 58.6% *****

Estradiol 100 pg/mL *****

Free Test 238.3pg/mL
Total Test 797ng/dL
IGF1 113ng/mL
ZScore -0.2 SD

Prolactin 8.0ng/mL

My biggest concern is, of course, the Estradiol followed by the Hemocrit and Hemoglobin. As soon as I saw that number I started an AI (just half a pill so far) but I don’t yet show signs of gyno, nor do I have acne, hair loss and so on. But I’m very afraid of gyno.

So how to proceed? Mast is impossible to find right now but I have two vials of Primo on hand. I was thinking of dialing back the test a bit and using some Primo in the hope it will moderate the E2. I don’t want to stop the HCG. The issue is when I need more Primo it will also hard to find but I would have some time.

Is this a reasonable approach? If so, what is a good primo to test ratio / doses? Anything else to consider?

How long will it take the E2 to come down to a reasonable level?

My GF and I are going hiking / biking in Utah in June and we have some sailing races starting in January, so I need my fitness back!

Thanks!
