Beverly International "HOLY GRAIL" Diet

Beverly International is a high quality bodybuilding supplement producer with a great reputation. They are expensive, but only because with their products, you get what you pay for. They also train people for free. They personalize a diet and training plan with you, and have many very successful athletes who follow their ways.

Through their research with many, many clients, they've found the 'holy grail' of bodybuilding diets. A 'golden' ratio that can actually allow you to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. A bodybuilder's dream. 50%/20%/30% ratio of Protein/Carbs/Fats is the plan.

Do you believe this works? Those who follow Beverly swears by their products, and also by their diets (which is what i'm more interested in).

Thanks,
Lance

Ive heard very positive remarks regarding Beverly products. As for the ratios, ratios dont mean much. What if youre on 1000 calories a day? Or 5000 per day? The ratios are going to change and the calorie level is going to have more to do with results than a simple ratio.

Well i was looking at this example per say, which is my example that i've actually tried.

Diet #1:
Based off what I learned about dieting from the HST boards. Supposedly all backed by research, which HST is very strong on. Even Lyle McDonald (very reputable) and other knowledgeable figures agree on this.
1g protein/lb, ~25% from fats (emphasize good fats), rest carbs (good carbs)

I tried that, at 2500 calories to cut. It worked, i lost fat while retaining muscle.

Diet #2:
Beverly's diet plan. Once again 2500 calories, with a 50/20/30 split between protein/carbs/fats.

It worked, i lost fat while retaining muscle. But .. it worked better!

My muscles became denser, thicker looking. Quite vascular too, very hard. I don't know if that's b/c of less water retention or what, but the main thing is the fat dropped much faster, and i swear my muscles gained a more rock-hard like appearance. Very vascular, ripped, and lean. Very cool. And the diet is easy to follow satiety wise, but hard to follow money/preparing wise. I'm talking with alternative protein from t r u e p r o t e i n . c o m. Meat is still expensive, and you'll be eating plenty of meat to fill out that much protein.

I'm wondering what people thought who have done it for longer periods of time, since mine are allways limited to a week or so. I just find it hard to follow preparedness wise, but my schedule will be getting easier soon. And mainly if i get enough props for it, or any ideas related to it, i'll do whatever it takes to follow the diet for the time being.

i placed 2nd in the 1998 kentuky gold cup weighing 174lbs. in1999 i made a visit to roger and sandy , and they put me on a diet and supplements 14weeks later i weighed 197lbs loseing 3% more body fat than at 174lbs, thus winning the light-heavy class. and to put the iceing on the cake ,i took over-all against 106 other guys. they really know what they are doing.......... roger talks in detail in plain english, and even goes thru all the mand-poses with you. good deal all around................

Beverly int. Is the only supplment that doesnt sponser a athlete

I dont think id use a product from a company that wont give anything back to the community.

Correct me if im wrong......................

Beverly may not totally sponser an athlete, but once an athlete has done well and is featured in one of their newsletters they get some nice breaks. All of the helpful and wonderful advice that you get for free makes up for what you don't get in "free" products. Besides, if you produce nothing but top quality products then it makes it a little harder to just give them away. They will even let you try the products and if you don't like them you can send them back and get your money back. I've dealt with them for 4 years and have never been anything but satisfied.

What are you talking about , im not talking about them giving freebies to the general public. They Should how ever kick in money in contests and sponser athletes so people in the sport they make a living off of can acually make a living.

If they produce top notch products thats great because there going to be making alot of money off them so to say that they cant give them to a few athletes that they would sponser is ludicris.

Im not saying that they dont produce well made products because im sure they do, but making money off a sport and to give zero back isnt cool.

Beverly's products are outstanding, and I can say this because I used them all the way up to my first competition for Mr. Alabama and had great results. I also believe they have an impecible reputation b/c I know that Kevin Levrone sells there products at his gym in Maryland, and I think that says enough in itself.

My opinion but just because a pro sells something in his gym does not make it a "top notch" product.....have also dealt and met with the folks from Beverly Nutrition as I competed a client in Covington at their show a few years back.....they are personable and have a good product (as BS had stated).

Again whatever works for you go for it.....

Actually Beverly does sponser shows in Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio that I know of. They always give away products to the overall winners. They put on their own show in Covington, Ky.

Peace
