So In some US states bitcoin is not authorized to make transactions. Say like New York or New Jersey. Most sites want payment only with bitcoin. How do you deal with that if your in those states. Are you subject to use only sources that accept alternative means or am I missing a loophole.

Neither of those states disallow the buying, selling or transferring of BTC.

Try Cash App or Coinbase. i assure you it's doable. Coin Wallet probably doesn't have a licence from that state. Several don't. The aforementioned do.
