Alright you big brains!!
I pinched a nerve in my neck last week. I'm getting treatment from a chiropractor (is that spelled right?) So any way he takes my BP, and it comes out at 140 over 94 (second # very high)
My question is whether, or not, whats in my system is causing it or I'm in trouble.
Just ended cycle (approx 1000mg Test, 600 mg Deca)
Took last shot 2 weeks ago (ended with just Test the last week)
I've been taking 20mg Nolva ED for last month, I started 1000iu HCG ED during the last week, continued another week with the HCG, Now I just started Clomid a few days ago. 100mg ED first week, will taper down to 50 2nd week.

Here's some stats: Mid 40's, 5'10" 235 approx. 10-12% BF, also been cycling for 20yrs.

So what do you experts think. Is there still enough gear in my system to raise my BP? Can the amount of PCT I'm taking effect my BP?

My Chiro. is an old friend, now he's all over my shit to lose muscle, he says I'm to big for my genectic potential. Now in the past I've noticed elavated BP while on. I think it's that my cycle was so recent
By the way I do 45-60mins. Cardio 3-4 times a week, and I am a Sports nutritionist (Thru AAAI/ISMA) Beeen writing diets for BB's for 20 yrs.
So, love to hear some opinions.
PS, I took my GF with me, so now she's on my case.
Thanks Bros Graybsss

pain will raise BP ( pinched nerve?)
so will body temp , the flu/fever will raise mine by 20/10
as for advise on how blood levels normalize while on pct i will leave that to the experts but if you just did some test e last week id say your levels are still quite high , high enough to raise bp

THe best time to take blood pressure is right before bed or right when you wake up in the morning when you haven't been active. Were you stressed in any way before you went to the doc (road rage, workout, etc)? If you are still noticing some bloat from the test or deca, I would say it is possible to be the gear, but i am not sure.

One bp reading is essentially meaningless IMO. You need to establish a trend over the course of a day (even better, a week). If your bp is still high, on average, then it should be addressed. You will still have very high estrogen levels by the timing of your last test shot, your test dosage, and your age, so estrogen is the likely culprit. I always use an AI for this very reason....with nolva. Not only is high bp a general health risk, but it can affect your workouts too, by preventing optimal oxygenation of muscles, expediting fatigue.

And one more thing 94 is not exactly high bro.. Once it regularly reads over a 100 you might say it's high.. 94 is only about 5 points above normal range....140 is about 1 point over normal range.. it's nothing to freak out about... and the fact that you were in pain could have raised your bp.. but I would advise keeping an eye on it.. and just so you know..any drug that causes water retention will also cause an increase in Blood pressure..

Yeah sound like water retention, estrogen being the culprit could be the cause...120/80 is the accepted norm. The b/p you gave was high and if sustained at that level you would be considered to have HTN..the key word being sustained, however Dr.'s all to often jump the gun and give B/p meds when diet and/or lifestyle changes could solve the problem.

Bp

Thank you my Brothers! I really appreciate hearing from you vets.
Einstein I agree, thanks for your wisdom.
Thanks to all who responded, I was a litte nervous, I'll still monitor my BP, but I feel alot better.
This just made me a little crazy, as I feel that I'm in the best shape of my life.

Great Input!! Your Humble Old Graybass

High BP

I'm in the same boat. I'm 38 and am on cycle often. Often enough that my BP stays elevated. I finally decided to take Diovan. I feel a lot better about getting my blood pressure down. I'm not sure of all the negatives of taking BP meds, but I do know the downside of prolonged high BP. If your BP is elevated more often than not, given the fact that you are now in your 40's, I would consider taking meds to bring it down.
