blood test results(thyroid)

Switched to a new endo(needed to be close to work) to handle my hrt. Did pretty comprehensive bloods. Also did a thyroid panel as I've been REALLY fatigued recently. Everything is cool but a couple of the thyroid values.
T4 4.0 range:4.5-12.0 ug/dL
T-uptake 39 range:25-35
Done by Quest diagnostics.
The results came in the mail and of course the doc's office is now closed. Any insight? Thanks guys,

My tsh was 3.02 uIU/mL (normal range 0.5-5.0)
They didn't do a t3.

Well, all I know is that your TSH is fine so you're probably not hypothyroid (I am and I'm going to be on replacement for the rest of my life).

I'm not sure what type of uptake test they gave you - I always though that the uptake test was done using some kind of scanner and a radiolabeled iodine pill that you take 24hrs prior.

Your T4 is low, even though TSH is not troublesome. I'd run the panel again, and get Free T4 and Free T3. You may be on your way to thyroid medication.

Thank you Swale for responding as I know you are very much in demand.I'm not scheduled to see the endo until mid January.Would you recomend trying to see him sooner?
