Blood Work....how often?

How often do you guys get blood work done? Since the labs have to be ordered by your physcian, do you guys call and tell your doc you want more labs done? It seems like a lot of you get labs done quite frequently and I just wondered if you go through your physician every time?

Most of us go through out physicians and get our labs covered by insurance, but there are Internet sites that offer labs at discounted rates.

My endo has me do mine every 8 weeks.. 6 weeks if there is a problem he is monitoring (ie bad lipids, or elevated haemotcrit).

I have been on TRT of over 21 yrs. and was always tested every 4 weeks.

Swale takes them every 6 months once things are tuned up; more often if there are problems or while adjusting protocol.

I'm going to the doc on the 15th. I faxed SWALE'S "recipe for success" to him. Hopefully he doesn't take offense. Will post results as I get them.
