Blood work on E3D of 125mg test and 125mg deca

Got the blood results back today.

125mg test and 125mg deca every 3 days, so effectively over half a gram total per week.

Much less total test than I had expected at 125mg E3D - it was "only" 890 - blood taken about 36 hours post injection.

PSA holding steady at 0.6 - which I like, thanks Doxazosin!

Estradiol at 66 - a little high, which I could feel, but it didn't feel high enough to slam with adex. I did take adex the day after blood was drawn, just wanted to see how good my own "sensors" were. And they were reasonably good. Still not sure about "optimal" estradiol levels at test levels of 1,000 or higher, isn't the recommendation set based on lower test levels?

LH/FSH obviously near 0, not unexpected despite my using HCG.

Cholesterol total 161, triglycerides 77, LDL 98, VLDL 15, HDL 48 - I guess those are OK numbers.

Creatinine 1.30 which is borderline high, but isn't that because of my daily supplementation of creatine?

Red Cross time again - RBC at 6.09 - but it's always high. Hemoglobin and hematocrit are also high. But that's par for the course, and why I donate regularly.

Vita blood cell count near lower boundary - so no infections.

One surprise was the Glucose level, 108, but probably caused by my recent reduction in Metformin intake, which I read could cause higher glucose levels until the body adjusts.

Otherwise I couldn't see anything worth commenting on.

BTW, I'm practically 55 yo now, 6' even, exactly 220lbs, and about 13% BF at the moment.

There's the full report.

@Docd187123 - what do you think about this? Particularly the Estradiol - at the level in the test results (66), I had no noticeable sides, other than a slight feeling that I might have elevated (mildly emotional) levels. I've read some articles about Estradiol competing with testosterone for receptors and for that reason should be kept lower, but Estradiol also has benefits, so if you have some clarity, would be good. Thanks.

In jealous of your cholesterol levels! I think your e2 levels are fine...at least to the point that I wouldn’t want to add any further meds to possibly fuck something else up.

Using enanthate? I would have thought levels would have been a little higher, might be underdosed a hair. Also, not sure how Deca would affect your levels....

Yeah I was using a different batch of test compared to before so clearly not as much bang for the buck.

I used the sensitive LC/MS version of testing to avoid deca messing anything up.

I eat pretty cleanly probably why the cholesterol is the way it is.

We’re you tasted for this test?

Everything looks pretty good actually. Nothing seems terribly wrong. I wouldn’t worry about the estradiol at this point being asymptomatic.

Tasted? Tested? As in part of a TRT program run by a licensed malpractitioner? :-)

Nope, just my own regular checkup, I am self administering but I do like some reality checks so I do bloods once or twice per year.

I'm glad that my "feeling" that I was slightly high on estradiol was reflected in the test, good to calibrate the gut feel.

Thanks

Autocorrect. Should have been “fasted”

Yes, it was fasted. I think it's because I skipped metformin for a week.

BTW, I'd run this regimen since early December so pleased that the Deca hadn't done anything to the PSA and not much damage to other values either.

My hemocrits have always (since I started giving blood in my early 20s) been at the upper range of the scale. Even been tested for hemochromatosis - negative. But I do need to give blood regularly - or play old school hockey or something. Any other way to suppress or even chelate the iron?

You skipped metformin that week? That might explain the high glucose number.

That's what I concluded too - haven't had any issues with glucose levels in the past, and I rarely eat any fast carbs. Also, that was a fasted draw. I'm torn btw the general benefits of metformin and the possible side effects - do you have any insights there?

“Fast” or “slow” carbs means nothing in this context.

My sister takes metformin alongside her diabetes meds. It’s like anything else I guess (bc I haven’t looked into metformin a lot recently), if you need it then take it, if you’re taking it for some other purpose then stop taking it if you’re worried.
