Blood Work Results (High Estrogen)

Just curious what are your symptoms from high overall Es

How do you and your doc plan on combating overall E issues?

Thanks!

Yeah, this is one of the gray areas of TRT, it is sorta like eating soup with a fork. I have great E2 levels, but high Total E levels. Good ol' doc is still monitoring everything to see what we can do.

I always have Total E tested and if your doing Indolplex/DIM taking TMG with it lowers my Total E. But doing Arimidex my Total E never changed on it.

I don't think I am maximizing my TRT. I still feel somewhat lethargic, brain fog, some low libido, etc.

I think we are going to wait a few weeks, get additional blood work and then see where I am. I imagine he will try DIM/TMG if he thinks it will be advantageous.

Before going on DIM, I believe you should get your DHT tested as well, as several members here have lowered their DHT along with E2 while on DIM.

Phil:

So, did you already got your total E's results before and after taking Indoplex/DIM with TMG?

If so, could you tell us how much did your numbers went down?

Thanks,
Roberto

Yes, I would find this onteresting also... everything that I've read so far (which is no where near the complete story I'm sure) has indicated to me that DIM converts "bad" estrogen (E2) to "good" estrogen (E1 and E3) and "slightly" helps the liver metabolize all of the estrogens.

So - if that is the case - it seems to me that DIM would have a very minimal impact on total Es while (hopefully, to some extent) lowering estradiol (E2).

Also it has been my understanding that the pharmaceuticals like Arimidex and Femara and Aromasin very definitely will E2 Total E levels and not simply E2.

Possibly SWALE or one of our other real technical types can jump in here with some info on that? I too feel that while E2 desserves our more primary attention that overall levels of Es should be getting more attention in the whole scheme of things....

I will try to answer this but only with my Test results.
Just doing 150 mgs. of Depo T shots every week my test was.
Total T. 686 range 262 to 1593 ng/dL and Free T. was 23.6 range 8.8 to 27 pg/mL.
Estradiol 20 pg/mL and Total Estrogen 196 pg/mL.

After adding 500 IU's of Hcg 3 times a week my Dr. made me wait until I had done my 15th. shot of Hcg to test me.
Total T. 1135 and Free T. 36.6
Estradiol 50.1 pg/mL and Total Estrogen was 452.
Range for E2 is <20 to 56. And Total E's range is <200.

For both of the above tests I was doing Indolplex/DIM 1/4 of a pill a day. I have not started on TMG yet my Dr. told me to wait until my next test. So he told me to take one pill a day of Indolplex/DIM and a .5 mg. pill of Arimidex every 5 days.
This is the best I have every felt in the 21 yrs. I have been on TRT and the Hcg did it. My levels coming up to this is where I feel my best in the past. The gels never got me this high. My Dr. told me that my E2 would got up on Hcg and taking the Indolplex/DIM and Arimidex is doing the job keeping it down. I get my blood test tomorrow and will be seeing the Dr. the following week.

Now going back to when I was on Testim 10 grams a day and getting a shot of Depo T 200mgs. every other week my blood tests were.
Total T. 1023 and Free T. 43.4. The Estradiol was 23.3 and Total E was 178 doing one pill a day of Indolplex/DIM.

Now going back to when I was taking Arimidex to keep my E2 in check doing the same as above for TRT Testim and shots.
My labs were.
Total T 1207 Free T. 43.5 and my E2 was 21 Total E was 539. As you can see Arimidex did nothing to my Total E. But Indolplex/DIM keeps both down for me.

I can tell my levels on Hcg are still high and could be higher. So here is my question if my levels of T are higher do I lower my T shots or my Hcg shots.

Just bumping this, hope SWALE could chime in and give a quick suggestion as to what he'd recommend and if my numbers really can account for how awful i've been feeling.

Should also mention, i'm getting an AM/PM salivary cortisol test from ZRT labs to see if the adrenals are involved, and am requesting a liver panel. Although not out of range, my ALT Level was 52 U/L on a scale of 2-60 U/L, which from what i've read "might" be a cause of concern. It shows liver enzymes getting into the blood at a higher rate suggesting a possible liver issue. AST level was 28 U/L on a scale of 2-50.
