body produces most LH at night?

yes,but how does one explain morning erections when taking T replacement. LH is shut down but how does the T know to give you morning erections?

Hell, the only reason I have ever had morning wood is when I had to go to the bathroom. From what I understood, the morning hardon is a defense mechanism against pissing your pants as it's nearly impossible to pee when you have a stiffy unless you conciously try to do so.

That's how I understood it anyway....

WL, from where did you get that info? It's what I have always believed.

I don't think i could believe that because i have had to piss very bad some mornings and even some times during the day and my wee wee would shrink but other times i would not have to pee at all and i would have morning wood.

Well i don't think it's the LH itself giving hardons. The LH just increases the T and it's the T that does it. I think ... unless LH does do something itself i don't know about like when taking HCG some feel effects different then when just going right for the T

I think it's because that's when our bodies are most relaxed. Stress kills hardons, relaxation makes them more likely. The whole sympathetic (stressed) nervous system versus parasympathetic (relaxed) in action.

i know its not the LH that directly is responsible for hardons, put the question this way then: do our bodies produce most test at night when we sleep? If you ever go for a blood test which involves testosterone levels, they always do one in the morning. (they have with me anyway) i am assuming this is because the body has produced a lot of test during the night?

This is not from my head but a cut & paste.

Many men think their penises are erect upon waking because of urine buildup in the bladder, but this is false. Morning erections are technically nighttime erections which happen during Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep (when most dreaming occurs), although men older than sixty years may have them during even non-REM sleep. Generally, we experience four intervals of REM sleep per night. These spontaneous woodies in the wee hours are caused by specific neuroreflexes that are stimulated during REM sleep.

Most guys have nocturnal erections throughout their lifetime, and their frequency, along with one's awareness of them, may vary. Nighttime/morning erections can be noticeably harder or stiffer than those had when awake. The penis can stay erect for up to two hours nightly, and not all men who have erections during the night wake up with one in the morning.

From what i understand nocturnal erections are actually exercise for your penis whilst you are asleep. Apparently you have many erections at night which can last for 20 minutes or so... this regular flushing of highly oxygenated blood keeps the vascular system of the penis healthy. As we get older the amount of erections we have during the day generated by spontaenous or visual stimuli becomes less frequent, :( ... so the amount required to keep the penis in a heathy functional state is compensated for by the night ones which are generated i think from very strong impulses somewhere in the brain. This would explain why you still get them even when you dont have a full bladder in the morning!
I read that some urologists are now thinking that the lack of these nocturnal "workouts" over an extended period of time can cause or further complicate ED. So in other words, it would seem that these happen for an important reason... like most things in our bodies.

i always thought this too.... just never put 2 and 2 together....... alot of good info in this thread....... i'm going to hook up a 3lbs weight to my penis b4 i go to bed now.....................J/K........... this would mean going briefless would be better so u would have less restriction on the penis.....

Matt this is the same thing I found out about morning wood. When I got my E2 down and started using Indolplex/DIM my morning wood came back after over 25 yrs. of not having them. They have been back for over 1 and 1/2 yrs. now and it is ture they keep you penis healthy. I though mine had shrunk but now it is back to normal.
