Boob job!

Females,
I need help! I'm considering getting my boobs done. Any one has any tips, pro or cons

Edit:
How long is the usual recovery time?
Do the positives out weigh the negatives?

My ex had her boobs done. Twice infact. The first time the implants were placed above the muscle. They looked great in a bra, but didn't have the natural look, she later got smaller implants that went "under the muscle" they were a lot better but cost a lot more.

They had a natural look, and classic tear drop curve shape on the top. She did have an issue with her left nipple, they had to completely re align it or something. She was worried that she wouldn't get sensitivity back, took a few months but all was back to normal.

I got under the muscle ones done almost 10 years ago. I'm perfectly happy with how natural they look but now considering making a change to over the muscle implants in the future. My main reason being that I now like to work chest in the gym and under the muscle implants look distorted as you're flexing the muscle. Also, I don't like the look of under the muscle implants on females with very low body fat.

Recovery time is about 8 weeks. I remember the worst thing for me was not being able to lie down flat to sleep for the first week. Oh and just waking up from surgery sucked. I was shivering so hard and throwing up.

In the end, I feel that it was all worth it.:)

Yeah I remember she had to sleep practically sat up in bed with pillows behind her. The swelling was heavy also.... I was thinking maybe she has gone a little to big, but when the swelling went down they looked great.

The upright sleeping is terrible. I remember my ass was hurting so bad from having to sit on it all the damn time! Lol

Boob envy is a thing. Better to go a tiny bit bigger than too small, haha.

Have kids? My wife couldn't breast feed because she had a sub par job. Took her around 8 months to a year before she was completely 100%. No stomach sleeping for months. To top it off, she married me, who doesn't care about tits. Boobs are over rated. A fit woman who takes care of herself is much more desirable. Just my 2 cents. (I met her directly after the surgery BTW).

Yes, I believe a picture should show us what you want to improve on ;)

I had saline under muscle in 2008. it was a pretty damn painful surgery.....made a c-section feel like a vacation. healing was slow....im glad i wasnt worried about lifting back then...not sure that would have been ideal. now its no problem...but its been a while. I have bad scars from it too..but i had a lift also.
just take care of yourself and take your time getting back to the gym....it takes some healing. but youll be fine! :) Best of luck! and stock up on front close sport bras :)

She actually has c's big b's on a bad day, just concerned they will get smaller as she cuts more. They used to be almost solid dds not too long ago

I got mine done over a year ago. I went with cohesive gel (aka gummy bears) ultra high profile and over the muscle... you can read more in this thread, we actually were on the topic yesterday... you will also see more details and pics...

@Trapmonster - Where did your lady disappear off to? I just noticed that she abandoned her log.:(
I've been telling her to log on and update, today is her last day of var. I think she looks amazing, she finally realized she expected too much for her first time and actually starting enjoying her gains these last 2 weeks. I'll have her throw up before and after pics. She went from 127 to 140 and loss a good amount of fat. It's kinda embarrassing the fact that she is almost squatting and dead lifting as much as I am lol.

@Trapmonster Wow, good for! Would love to see before and after pics and hear more details about her cycle. What was her dosage and how many weeks did she run it for? Glad to hear she's had amazing strength gains, too. I can understand from her point of view because I have to keep reminding myself to be patient and not to expect too much for my first cycle. Please do urge her to get back here and join us again!

I want to mention this to ALL the ladies considering it... research and compare surgeons... have several consultations, ask to see before and afters... and once most important question, did the surgeon work on his own wife's boobs - if yes then good, if not then find out who and book a consult with them instead. ;) It's a great indication of the surgeon's skills. I went for 6 different consults (I think) maybe even a few more... it got expensive but worth it as consults here cost, but later are deducted off the surgery cost if you go with that surgeon. You will find some do it free....

Also, it is VERY important you find a surgeon who deals with bodybuilders as he will know the demands we put our bodies through and the look we are after as our second home IS the gym.

As for size... here is what I believe works wonders and will give you a true indication of what they will look like and what size could be the one for you.... create your own sizers...with pantyhose and rice... this is an old but trusted method....first, grab a pair of pantyhose or pantyhose socks, take rice and measure out the desired cup size... for example, mine being 535cc each ultra high profile, measure out 535mls of rice and add to the panty hose, compact it well and tight, as tight as you can without ripping... tie it well and of course keep it compact and tight...form them into a ball (if you want high profile) or pancake (if you want a regular profile) or teardrop (if you want the natural look)...now, put on a tight tank top, ideally a sports bra, then line up your rice sizers with your nipple...that is the position they will sit once implanted... play around with adding and taking away rice and that should help you determine the ideal size for you so when you go for your consults, you will have an idea and will be able to judge the surgeon by the suggestions and your desires and see if you match up... it's also important to find a surgeon who sees your desires and creates that for you. OR explains why it's not feasible.

I just got a boob job 6 weeks ago I have been back in the gym for about a week and a half now I have been doing a lot of cardio and a lot of legs. I should be back to normal weightlifting and normal routine in another 2 weeks or so. Not going to lie recovery was horrible and I was in a lot of pain. I went under the mussel and had 650 cc in the left and 665 in the right along with a lift. If I could do it again I would. Good luck with you decision.
