They keep putting there rates up, but now it takes 5 to 7 day to get a package coast to coast and when they charged 20 for the same service it took 2 to 3 days we’re going backwards here

Yup! I have my theories on why, but if I share them I'll be attacked from probably half the members on here so I'll just keep my mouth shut.....but yea I've noticed the degradation to. It almost seems like they took part of their budget and added it to customs cause those nazi's don't let ANYTHING through the past 3 years or so! I can only imagine the amount of x-ray machines and manpower they have.....Damn I wish I lived in Europe, so much pharma juice floating around you could bathe in it!

You are confused. CanadaPost doesn't control the spending of customs/CBSA.

So much misinformation, just like the idea that tax payers subsidize Canada post. If only people start reading reports or understanding how government branches work before believing what they hear or read on the net.

No. CBSA and customs are operated by the government of Canada. They are federally operated programs, same as Health Canada or Environment Canada or Public Affairs. CanadaPost is a separate Crown Corporation. CanadaPosts mandate is to operate a profitable mail delivery business.

I don’t know about what price changes OP is talking about, but if they jacked up prices it’s because they think it’ll help their bottom line like any other business.

I'm sorry, I haven't looked at this post until now.....
So ya I know CanadaPost doesn't control the spending of customs I was just being sarcastic (or just being a plain ass), just venting frustration over the 1000's of $'s worth of gear I've lost to seizures over the years! and I've noticed Canadapost has been slacking recently like mindslave mentioned, there is no excuse for that given the amount we pay for shipping.....

yep...corporate greed. I predict many companies will be going on strike aswell. Look at metro. Glad some are sticking it too the corporate goons. These typoons have been tripling profits too at our expense.

I agree they had there place! made work safe 10000%! although things are a wee bit out of hand for many of them atm IMO.
